How can I disable buttons on some rows in an unbound datagridview, or at least make it appear that it isn't enabled? The enabled property of the cell doesn't exist, and the visible property is read only.
View 2 RepliesIs it possible to add a button column to a datagridview and then remove a select group of these from rows without removing the rows themselves? That is, I want the ability to hide or remove these buttons in certain rows after certain actions have occured. I realized that I could simply delete the rows with these buttons, but I want to keep the data in these rows visible without the user thinking they have to use the buttons. I am assuming that I can also disable the buton in the desired rows as well.

In other words, I want them to show (grayed out), just not clickable. In the Move First properties I set Enable = False and Visable = True. It looks grayed out in the form design but when I run it, the arrow is still clickable. If I make Visable = False, the button does not show up in the app.

i have created dynamic buttons at runtime and i would like to disable them when a user clicks on a form button.This is the code i have for that button:

The buttonNames is an array of all populated button names created at runtime. However, trying the .enabled = false at the end of that does not work. What other ways are there to do that with buttons created at runtime?

So i'm working on this web application which is pizza order application form in which user selects size of the pizza and toppings.I've 4 sizes pizza but I can check more than one radio buttons at a time.and the other problem is that I've like 6 choices of toppings which worth 99C each. But If I select more than one checkbox, then total adds up 99C only once.[code]

How would i delete only the successful inserted rows for insert and then move the non successful rows up and allow the user to correct the data and get it ready for an insert. If i dont delete the successful rows then i will have multiple inserts of the same dataRow and we dont want that! AND if i dont move the data up then it will have blank rows uptop and will end the try and not insert the corrected data. You can better see what logic i am trying to perform at the bottom of my code, right after I insert into the database. Here is my code.

Can you temporarily disable a radio buttons CheckChanged Sub? I have a set of radio buttons in a groupbox and when the user selects one, I need to check if it's a valid selection. If not, I need to reset it to the previous button that was pressed. Below is an example of my

In the above example, ResetButtons() changes the checked value of the radiio button selected to false and changes the checked value of the previous radio button to true. The problem is that when radio button rbGame gets changed, it causes the CheckChanged sub above to run again from the top. Is there a way to temporarily disable it from running while I make my changes and then re-enable it?

i generate a small HTML file on a hard disk, put the AxWebBrowser2 object navigate to the file, all works fine, but i need to diable all user interface on that object. If the user clicks on object, the page reloads completely and i need to avoid that behavior.

Am not sure whether am using the right approach to my problem. See i have this datagridview that contains rows that i would like have saved back into the Database as new rows but with a column altered to a new value.

What am looking at is Change FKColumn2 (some foreign key, maybe i can also have a combo box somewhere on the form and an "import to") values to something like 2 and save the rows back to the database without loosing the original rows.
I have several problems with rows in a DataGridView. Background information: The DataGridView (DataGridViewCalib) is in one TabPage of a TabControl, some columns of the DataGridView are automatically DataGridViewCheckBoxColumn as the DataSource have some colums which are Boolean. This is a Windows Form written in VB.Net with Visual Studio 2008. The user loads an input data file.
The problems:
1) At first arrival in the TabPage, ShowDataGridViewCalib (code below) is called. All rows are then shown in the DataGridView, despite the code saying that some rows should not be visible. Breakpoints in the code show that the code do arrive at the Rows.Visible = False events. Despite all rows beeing shown a Watch in the debugger shows that:

Depending on the current conditions, when I display it, I need to disable the controls on it so that the user does not make any changes.I have code that checks the condition and sets the enabled property to false for the controls.
