The application must have basic functionality as to: Insert new customers into the database A search function will be needed to find a users criteria entered The more advanced features would include matching certain criteria with another for example if the data in field 1 is the same then it should match this and return the results. so for example if a person has a hobby of 'football' it will return all the people with the same hobby

I have created an access database which i want to search with vb.net, I tried a few thing but it didnt work as desired.
Firstly the program is suppose to display items in the database base on the criteria selected by the user. what i've succefssfully done so far is I've added a datagrid 2 combobox, 1 (searchcbo) with the columns in the database and the other (searchcbo1) will autoload the items under the column selected in and a button (searchbtn) but i have no clue of the code to put in the button. i also tried the fill method but that didnt work as i wanted to. ultimately i want a combobox with the list of columns and a textbox to enter criteria and of course a search button.
The searchbtn should act as the "WHERE" sql command, e.g. SELECT EmployeeNumber, Firstname, LastName, Phone, Location....etc FROM CallLog WHERE searchcbo.text = searchcbo1.text And display the results in the datagrid.

I am getting this error in MySQL on search for keywords. The error: Can't find FULLTEXT index matching the column list. My Database Table is a MyISAM and my dataTypes I am searching are Text. Any Ideas why I would get the above error?

This program is very difficult for me, but I must get threw it or I cannot finish... What I am doing is making a Database of foreign Languages with the spelling of the words and the pronounciation inside the database... The USER enters a paragraph of words into the translator textbox and pushed translate. The program has a DATABANK of words with the phonetic spellings and matches the word, then translates to phonetics. The problem is that new words keep appearing inside the language. I have a textbox for searching a database. When the text changes it runs a functioncFilter() and loads the records. It is set up to search different columns of a database, and it unfortunately only the first record matching is pulled from the database. Example: when the database contains two people (Bob Smith & Bob Smitt) the user can type the name in the search field. However When the user types Bob Smit it only returns Bob Smith and not both names in the database. I want this to act as a filter, dynamically changing the last with each additional letter typed in the search box. Below is my source code,

I'm trying to design a words game that's give you the first two letters from the word and you insert the rest to make a word (for now I'm just using "co" as example and I have just one table in the database for it). The word will be written in textbox to be compared to a database field. If the word exist in the field the word will be displayed in a label with blue color and the score will increased by one if not the word will be displayed in the label with red color. This should happen three times with three words and I have different label for each one.
the name of my database is database1 and it have one table "A" wich contain "Comp" and "word". I tried this game with array of word before and it was working. Now I'm trying to use database instead of arrays but its not working. [Code]

I need to find a folder that is shared between all users of a PC, every body being able to read/write to that folder and below, without any errors. I think that the folder "C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersShared Folder" would do the trick. Trying to build a project that lets users click an item from a list of products (tabbed form).
