But the current code is only performing deleting the record from the datagridview temporarily and when I start the form again the record are still there because the record are not deleted on the database.

Feb 9, 2011First of all i want to say i feel very rude as my current posts only consist of me asking questions and never posting to give answers. im still learning and do not want to give people diff advice and sending them down the wrong path.I am doing an assignment for my vb.net course and im having a problem with tabcontrol. I originally didnt do my code inside a tab control. Then i had to copy all the code and button etc over to the tab control then the code completely stopped working. I copied the code then deleted it and pasted it back into my project and it worked again. But it seems everytime i restart my laptop the code stops functioning and i need to copy delete then paste to get it working again!I need to hand this assignment in shortly and i dont want to if my code is working intermittantly..

Nov 23, 2009I'm new to VB and using a datagridview for the first time. I've spent the last 2-3 days trying to get row deletion to work and can't do it. I've tried every piece of code I can find on the internets, and none of them are doing it.I have the selection mode set for full row, with a delete button on the form. Clicking it will delete the row from the DGV, but the changes are not going back to the database. Here is the code I'm using right now in my delete button event handler:

Feb 10, 2010I have a VB 2008 program over the Northwind DB customer table.It uses LINQ to add, delete and edit records.
So I load everything into a datatable/dataset first.The Add and Delete occurs when the buttons are clicked on a binding navigator. The edit occurs when a cell is changed, and that row is clicked off. I've set the Customer ID field as the primary key in the DT. I then bind everything together with a binding mavigator.
So far so good, Adding & Editing works nicely the DGV & customer table . [code]...
