I am developing a VB.NET application which we will be running at user login on our corporate network which will be setting up the user's environment, this will include the start menu.
I have a method which is attempting to delete all files and folders located in the user's Start MenuPrograms folder (C:Users{user}AppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuPrograms), our environment is Windows 7.[code]...
I cannot figure out how to get this call to work.I have searched EVERYWHERE.MSDN is no help at all and the only thing I can find is this vb6 code that doesn't work in .net.I tried to convert it over but I've had no luck.Specifically I'm trying to get the path of the "All Users" Desktop and the "All Users" Start Menu.It would rock if anyone could help me out with this one.

ive been searching round the net but the only examples i can find are for vb6 which i know nothing about, i want to be able to scan a folder and all sub folders with in it and delete any folders which are empty.

So on click of button '2' the folders are cleaned out, and on click of button '3' they are deleted - it works great.Now the problem is, if any of the folders in the directory 'test' are not accessible to the current user, the program throws the exception 'Access to the path is denied.Is it possible to skip folders that are not accessible, and just ignore them, and delete the ones that are accessible?What code needs to be added to enable this ability?

I'm currently working on an application that allows users to select picture files and then categorize them into folders. Now I'm having two issues that are probably simple to fix but I only have a year of experience with vb so I just don't know how to fix them. The first and biggest issue is that once the user has selected and categorized a file, I want the program to select the next file in the folder that the first file was moved from. This way the number of clicks required is minimized. However I have no clue what I would need to do in order to accomplish this. Also, my other problem is that I want to be able to find the indexof a quotation mark but whenever I put it in the parameter it just reads it as a quote.

I'm creating a sub that will run a batch file, and then delete it when it has finished.[code]...
This causes the program to immediately delete the batch file before it can run. How can I break it up so that it won't delete the batch file until after it has finished?
