Asp.net - Delete Files Which Start With Certain Number?

I'm trying to delete all files in a folder which start with a specific user id so if the user id = 00000 then i want to delete file 00000-1.xml & 00000-2.xml & 00000-3.xml and so on.I have this code so far

Obviously I have just added the something?? in as i have no idea what to put there?

I have a list of albums and photos in albums. Now i want when i delete a particular album then its photos also to be delete.The name for images of a particular album is like " if album's id is 1 so its images name should be 1_1,1_2,.. . My idea is to use sql like this: delete top " & variable & " * from table where ID = something It gives me a general sytax error. Is it at all possible? Fuga. To improve performance, when one has many files to readwrite it is better to save them in smallergroup in different folders. Is there a magic number over which it is better to start splitting the folder? for example below "10.000" (invented number) files can be stored in one single folder, while above that it is better to start storing files in multiple folders.

Is there a method or function that I can use to get the number of days between a start date and end date? I tried using Timespan, but I was noyt able to convert the value to a string. What I am doing is I have 3 text boxes. 1 with start date value user will set using a calendar. And another with end date set using a calendar.And the 3rd text box is being used to display that difference between the two dates.

I'm trying to teach myself how to create a Random Number Generator in Visual Basic 2008 using a menu system and I'm having difficulty with the following:If I type in a number above 100, I don't get a message appearing saying that the number that I typed is too high.I don't know what I need to code to start a new game.How do I get messages to show up when both pressing the "Check Me" button and using the "Give Me the Number" option to say whether the answer is correct or too high or too low.ful to hear them.

I have made my application to start automaticly when windows start (registry ../currentversion/run/appname + path). In this mode the application start minimized and an little icon appear in the notification icon area. With this icon you can maximize the app or exit it.If you exit the app and start it again using the Menu (Start/programs etc) than the application start in minimized mode (and in this case I would like to have it in normal mode) because the setting autostart is still true.Is there a way you can detect when the application start when windows startup using the above registry or when people click on an icon in the programs menu (or desktop)?

I have an issue in my project I am programming in both Matlab (Matlab2011a) and Visual Basic (VS2008).I've created a .exe file from my matlab code. It works well when I click on it with my mouse.But I need to run it within Visual Basic. I know it's possible to call .exe files with Shell() or Process.Start(), and it works well for files such as firefox.exe or notepad.exe. However, it doesn't work when I call my own .exe file ...It's weird because when I look to the Task Manager while trying to call it (within VB), I can see the process starting and ending, but its output doesn't appear.

I'm re-doing a small application I made a long time ago. It's similar to CCleaner, where it scans specific directories and removes temp files.My old application worked, but it was messy and only had a handful of locations. The new version has a ton more locations and files, but that creates a problem with how the original app was designed.In the old app (I made this a very long time ago) everything was just jammed into the main class, including variables, methods, etc. There wasn't a whole lot of thought put into it.Now, I'm trying to figure out the best way to make this class so when I'm done, I can release it to the community and it be easy to use.The main problem I'm having is how I should set up the methods. There are so many different types of directories and files, that I'm not sure if I should create a separate class for each method, or have a bunch of methods in one class or have one method in one class.
There are some directories that need to be searched recursively, some that don't, some files need a filter and others don't. I think that's the extent that I need.So, what do you all think is the best option so that it will be easy for the end user to just add the directories/files and start scanning?Right now, I have a base class that has two properties. One for directories and one for files, both of which are arrays.Actually, just as I'm typing this, I'm thinking I could create a class that represented a directory and another that represented a file. Both classes would have properties set for them that I could use in the main scanning class. That would allow me to identify what was needed for that directory/file, like recursive searching and filters.

i've created a hangman game (Fully working) but since you can only "play" with one phrase (10 letters) it gets boring fast. Basic the current game works by on form load i define the slots (10 string which each hold a letter) and give them there letter. then the user type in a text box and if the textbox = any of the slots then the lbl repasenting that slots changes its text from "_" to the letter.
Anyway what I would like the button to do is when the user presses the start button a random number is generated. The program then looks into a textfile and based on which number is generated it takes a certain line (10 characters per line in a phrase) , moves them into the slots and the game starts. Is that possible to code or it too complicated. The textfile will be in the applications folder (words.txt).
