I have some data stored in my database on msaccess. Now I want that upon login, all the data are loaded dynamically on my vb form. that is. the labels are created automatically and corresponding data displayed by its side.

Just like an array in a group box or a frame as i used in vb6.
If there are 5 customers details then when i load the form it will add (PictureBox, Label and a listbox) for each customer dynamically and display them with their information. Moreover, if i add 6th Customer information in the database then next time i load the form it should display his/her information as well. I did this in VB6 sometimes back but need a start to do in .net

I have successfully added textboxes to a form at runtime. I have also succesfully added an event handler to these same textboxes. What I'm having trouble understanding is how to refer to these textboxes programmatically after they have been added. Specifically, how do I;
1) Retrieve user data entered in those textboxes without an event handler
2) Find a specific one of those textboxex later (is looping thru all controls of type "textbox" the only way)?

I Drag and drop to the form from Dataset. I can see the data in the dataset but not in the form. Tried with Access and Advantage data bases.

I am working on a project. Part of my project requires me to capture data, for example, email address, from certain rows/columns of a datagridview(form2.vb) and displays them in a textbox on another windows form(form1.vb) with a click of a button(Add Contact button). The problem is the datagridview on my form must be able to display databases by making a connection to Microsoft SQL Server 2005 but so far, i have not been able to do that. I have seen many codes with regards to my problem but i do not know how to implement it.

I have a problem in timers, I want to display 2 forms each one after 3 and 5, how to do that? I mean when the first form appears, after 3 seconds another one will appear, then after 5 seconds the second will appear. I still have problem when the message box stops, it displays all the forms together. All I want is when the message box stops, then it display the first form then stop to display the second then stop to display the last. The first form must stay for 3 seconds on the screen, then after 3 seconds the second appears then after 5 seconds the last appears.

I have two comboboxes and a listBox to display data from several databases. The whole process should be that after an option is selected in the first comboBox, the second comboBox and the listBox are populated. So for example, I could select a Company from the first comboBox, and the second conboBox will be populated with all it's locations while the listBox will first display the location of the headquarters(default location). But the user can then select a different location from the second comboBox if they want to and the listBox will then display the location of that newly selected office location.how do I dynamically pull these data from various databases cause all the companies will have their information in separate DB's. Every time an item is added to the list, I want to create a new PropertyGrid corresponding to each item. The relevent PropertyGrid should appear when an item is selected in the ListBox, and the user can edit the properties of that item.
The only way I can think of doing this is by creating a dynamic array which has length ListBox1.items.count, but I'm not sure it's possible to create an array of controls.

View 6 RepliesI have a unit-test for my entire solution(over all 300 methods) and this unit-test will run daily. Here is what my unit-test does,Suppose we have Insert method which inserts a data through Store procedure into Sql server 2005 table. The unit-test for this insert method is,first i will run a query(dynamically) which gets all required data for insert method(in other words it will get data from same table and does inserts, this is purely to test the method) and my problem here is if the table does not have data at all then my unit-test fails.
Since I'm doing select dynamically and then inserts, this happens when I run my unit-test in different environmental like Quality Assurance and performance Assurance. So I'm looking for a solution to avoid unit-test failure becz of nodata.. I'm looking for solution where I do some think like this if I get an error message say no data. Then I get data from different environment(like development data base then do insert into the table and run the unit-test).
