Display Data In Datagridview In Windows Form By Creating Connection To Microsoft SQL Server 2005

I am working on a project. Part of my project requires me to capture data, for example, email address, from certain rows/columns of a datagridview(form2.vb) and displays them in a textbox on another windows form(form1.vb) with a click of a button(Add Contact button). The problem is the datagridview on my form must be able to display databases by making a connection to Microsoft SQL Server 2005 but so far, i have not been able to do that. I have seen many codes with regards to my problem but i do not know how to implement it.
Below are my codes that i have written so far. My program's limitations are not being able to display databases from Microsoft SQL Server 2005 so i created the statement below to add columns and test my codes.

I have exported data from a SQL Server table into a XML file and the output looks like this:
Filename = 11190.xml
Table name = LRTest
<NewDataSet>
[Code].....
Now I want to save the above XML file into my SQL Server 2005 table
With the same columns using vb.net windows forms, in every exported xml file there are 100 to 200 records. .

I am using memorystream to get and store images into sqlserver 2005 table image field. This process is working and I am able to display image in picture box. I need to be able to store PDF files into the same field and be able to display in a picture box.

Note: Combobox contains company name, then when i select one of the company in the list, the information on the table connected to to the company table like purchase order table info will appear on the datagridview.

I am building a VB 2008 Express Edition application.I have built a database (with a single table) using SQL Server Compact 3.5 and have connected it to the project. I am able to view and edit the data using a DataGridView on a second form (tutorial made this very easy). I need to work with the data in the table within the application. how to easily load the entire table into an array or even read the table a row or cell at a time so that I can make all of the data available for manipulation within the application (the tutorials only seem to show how to display the data).

regarding the DataGridView Checkbox.. I have two Forms, The 1st one has a datagridview..but in order to load the data to form1 datagridview, i need to open another form w/c also has a datagridview w/checkboxes on it.. I need to select a data in the form2 datagridview w/the use of checkbox..when i select an item..then press the ok button, the checked checkbox with the info corresponds to the data i selected will appear in the form1 datagridview. I am having problem with Visual Studio 2008.... When i add the Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.5 Library from COM References, and just run the blank form, it runs perfectly.... But whenever i declare anything related to ADODB like dim con as new ADODB.Connection, then after that it gives me error and doesnt run the project. A first chance exception of type 'System.IO.FileNotFoundException' occurred in mscorlib.dll. After that if i comment that like (declaration), then error goes........ I tried uninstalling each and every component and VS as well but the error doesnt goes....i am using Windows 7 x64. The same is working in Windows XP x86 in my virtual machine..... as i am not able to start my project

I am a ASP Classic Programmer, professionally for a little over a year, I have developed some rather nice sites, including the one in my signature (Still a work in progress).
I have been forced to use ASP.NET (VB) for a FileUpload control, as it offers a self controlled way of creating Thumbnails, without the use of 3rd party controls, which is great, as my hosting server does not allow for 3rd party installs on their servers.
So.
The code below is what I have so far for connecting to the database and displaying a record is the "cookie" exist on the users computer.
Unfortunantly, this is not working, and to be honest with you, their is not a whole lot of resources available to show how to do this correctly.
So I am stuck with a lot of post and hoping that someone can actually assist me with this and tell me what I am doing wrong and maybe correct my code.
I am getting an error about the "Connection is closed"
If you want to re-write my code, I prefer something simple and basic, as the only thing that I am doing to checking rather the user is logged in, and if so, display a record from the database. I am NOT in the need for the DataGrid, so please do not suggest it, as I am only needing to check this one thing.
I would like to also add, that I have successfully contect to my database with the FileUpload control and save file names of the images uploaded, so I know that my connection string is done properly> But, for some reason the "SELECT" statement is causing a HUGE issue. (It was easier to insert, than to select, I am not use to that)

I have built a client-server VB.net inventory application for our company which connects to our Server machine running on Windows XP. We have 6 client machines running also on Windows XP that connects to the Server's database. Now, my problem is, "How do i connect a client machine running on Windows Vista to our Server running on Windows XP wirelessly?"
- Is there something I have to alter on the SQL Server Surface Area Configuration?
-Or do I have to change the 'Connection String' on my software application so as to properly connect to the Server from a Vista mahine? If then, how?
This is the error its throwing:"An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections.
