What I really want is that when radGunsNRoses is checked, the listbox displays the songs and when one is clicked, it shows the song's lyrics in the ritfSongs. Same thing goes for radACDC but the songs are different and the lyrics.

Jul 23, 2010I am using DevExpress.XtraEditors.LookUpEdit to display the information about the classes available. Currently it has 3 columns. The lookupedit is working perfectly except when I set the editValue to the last row. When the editvalue is set to any row other than the last one it shows the selected row when the lookupedit isn't opened yet when the lookupedit is set to the last row nothing is displayed.

Right now the lookupedit displays the selected text unless I select the last row, row number tableData.Rows.Count which then displays nothing. Yet when I print the values they are correct and when I remove the +1 when setting the lookupedit it sets it to the previous line I want an the first row can't be displayed.

Mar 4, 2010I'm building an online shop, but have run into a problem.When the user click that they want to add a product to their basket, i add the product ID to an array that is held on the session.This all works great and i display how many items they have selected etc..The problem comes when i get to the checkout page.Whats the best way of displaying the items that the user has selected?
should i use a datagridview? if so, how do i pass the array into the SQL in order to get all the data rows that i need?
should i use a repeater? this gives me the same problem as above though.I just cant seem to work out how to get the values fro the array and then run the sql for each ID to get the information to show on the screen.I could loop through the array using each ID as a parameter in the SQL but then where do i put the data? in a dataset? a datatable?

Reading A Specific Line From A Text File And Displaying It In Individual Text Boxes?
Feb 16, 2010I've been writing a weight program for flooded pressure vessels and I'm having trouble retrieving the data from the text files I've been saving. I know how to write the data to the text file, but retrieving it with OpenFileDialog is not so easy for me.The user has individual text boxes that they input strings or numbers into and when they save the file, each text box input is written to one line in the text file. For example, the first text box is for the username, therefore the first line of text that is saved is the person's name, the second text box is the customer, thus the second line in the text file is the customer name, and so on.
(Actually, the first line of text in the saved file designates whether English units were used or Metric units because when the user retrieves the saved file, English units will open one form and Metric units will open a separate form, so some If...Then statement will need to occur).I need to be able to read the first line, have either my "EnglishForm"form open or my "MetricForm" form open, and then have each subsequent line of text be displayed in their corresponding text boxes. I know I need to use ReadLine or LineInput, but I don't have a clue what to do.Assuming the syntax I've displayed below would just magically work (if only life were that easy), it would look something like this

Jan 24, 2012Basically the cells are displayed from Excel to the Visual Basic form, but once I press a button on the form to display the spreadsheet which contains the cell info, the spreadsheet won't display at all. (This I think is because the link has subsequently already called Excel). I've looked at the Task Manager and copies of Excel are already in the process, once these are deleted the spreadsheet can display from being pressed from a button on the form. How can I override this deletion method from the task manager so that the spreadsheet always displays properly from the form.

Aug 10, 2009I dynamically create buttons on a form and use the button text as ids so that I can pass that to an SQL query to pull saved data about that button when necessary, but I also use an image over buttons that have information saved about them. What I need to know is how do I keep the text on the button from appearing when there is an image assigned to that button? By default vb.net shows both the text and the image and no TextImageRelation values allow for the image to take precedence. I tried changing the text color to transparent, but the outline of the text is still visible through the image. Is there anyway to keep the text value as it is but just show the image on the button?
