I created an interface where user will define the parameters and the submit button should able to do following:
1) Generate C# class.
2) Compile.
3) Execute Method.
4) Attach generated class file to the existing DLL.
I can able to finish 3 of the above items successfully but I can't able to Attach new generated class files to existing DLL file.
I have a program that reads a text file and creates a datatable dynamically based on the columns in the file.
This seems to work fine.
I then try to read the rest of the text file, creating a data row to add to my table. I'm using the code below but it's not working for me.

View 4 RepliesI have a class library in VB.NET that does a NET-envelope for an USB device driver.There is only one function of that driver that I could not envelope in a traditional class, but I had to put it in a Windows Service as described here:Sharing a class property (field) between applications.The Windows Service works fine, but I have now two projects for my NET-envelope: the one with the class library, the second with the windows service and I do not like the idea to maintain two distinct projects for the same driver.Is it a good practice (or even if possible) to add a windows service class to a normal class library (without creating its own project as described in the vb tutorial)?I know, in any case I should create a separate setup only for the windows service, but in this way I could have together all the classes that envelope my usb device driver in only one project.

The record is a "Pass/Fail" Record. So, if the record is a "Fail", the failed items will be added below the main group of labels; therefore, many child groups of labels will be added below the main group, which is theoretically the header record. I am dynamically adding a link button to every cell in a gridview. Adding the button works however the firing of the even handler doesn't. i need the linkbutton to call a function and pass some data for processing. My code is below. I have a User Control which returns a table of data, which in some cases needs to be looped, displaying one on top of another. I am able to dynamically add a single instance of this by placing a fixed placeholder in the page. I am now trying to work out how to add more than one, given that I don't know how many might be needed I don't want to hard code the Placeholders. I need to be able to add buttons to a tool strip at run time. As of now I've been able to get the buttons to display with a nice little picture just how he wants and some text under it. Just can't figure out how to "enable" the click event for these buttons. Obviously I need them to do something rather than just sit there looking good and this is where I'm stuck. I am using CompilerParameters to dynamically compile code... The problem is when I use:
cp.ReferencedAssemblies.Add(CompilerPath & "est.exe")
to add a reference to test exe ... (where CompilerPath is the full path name)
Compiler Path is not the Compiler Application Path
I get an error when compiling stating that:

If I put it in the test.dll in the "compiler apps" path and then call ReferencedAssemblies.Add with the full path it works.
I am dynamically creating and adding a ComboBox to a specified column in DGV. I also set a DataSource, DisplayMember and ValueMember for the created ComboBox. Somewhere else in my program, I select a number ( let's say 5 ) and based on that number I want to change the SelectedIndex of the current ComboBoxColumn ( I actually loop through the Columns collection ).I tried something like this in a event handler I created:
