Dynamically Added Link Button Click Does Not Fire?

When the user selects an "account" we dynamically create a linkbutton with the selected dates. However, the linkbutton onclick handler doesn't fire when the button is clicked.

AddHandler linkBtn.Click, AddressOf linkButtonHandler
linkBtn.ID = panelDatesRencontre.Controls.OfType(Of LinkButton).Count

I have browser control in a winform application that navigates to a secure intranet location. In the web application that sits in the browser are several links that bring up other windows outside of the browser... like dialog type browser windows that may contain information like user information... etc.
When I run the application in a regular browser, it runs the new window perfectly but when I click on the same button link in the web application, it brings up a windows with no data saying that I don't have access to the server.

I'm not sure if anyone here uses media fire for file hosting/sharing, but I was looking for a way if it is possible to get the direct download link for my files so that it will eliminate the step for my users to need to click on a link and download the files. I want my app to goto the url where my files are, search the page for the direct url link and execute the link for them automatically, seemlessly in the background so they dont need to do anything. I understand the page lifecycle and how i need to add the dynamic controls on page_init if I want to take advantage of viewstate. Also I know that I should try to avoid dynamic controls when possible. The dynamic controls are created depending on an object that is created from custom event arguments sent from a custom treeview. Problem is I need viewstate so I need to create them in page_init but I don't have the event args to create the object that tell me what controls to add until later in the lifecycle.

I have a simple program. It has a "Start" and an "Exit" button. When the "START" button is hit, I change the text on the exit button to read "STOP PROCESSING". Then I go into my processing loop. When the "STOP PROCESSING" button is clicked the first time, the program simply ignores it. When I click it the SECOND time, it gets control. I know this because I put a breakpoint in at the start of the subroutine.What could I possibly be doing to quash the firing the first time?

I know the name is rigth cause I have printed the name in the create method and I have printed the name string in the code where I try to access it.
So by the looks of it it seems .Item() is not the right way to access the control.
