Editable Cell Format In Grid?
Jul 15, 2009we display a decimal(11.25) value in the grid . When we try to edit that cell its displaying only (11).Its not showing the decimal value when we try to edit that cell.
How to format that cell ?

For that i have created a datagrid which has one autogenerate number field and the remaining fields must be editable. If column3's value = "EDIT", then I need to edit only that cell. Here for example: i need to make the Column3's second cell to be readonly=false.So i cannot make any changes to (1, AA, AAA), (3, CC, CCC) and (2, BB). Need to make changes only EDIT cell.I tried this code. CountR is the row in which EDIT values is there.

In Page1 RMNNo will be generated automatically and it will ask the user to enter the number of items in Page2. So in next form, all the item details i want to enter. But i cant display the second screen multiple times, I decided to create a table at run time, the number of rows will change depending on the number of items entered by the user. But in the table we may have to get some of the values from the database and display as a combo box so that the user can select from the list. So i decided to use the editable data grid.

Oct 7, 2011I need to display an two-column editable grid not bound to a database. I took a look at ListView with Mode=Details, but it appears that only cells in the first column can be edited. I then took a look at DataGridView, and am having two issues:
1. When editing a cell, it adds a new row: [url] How can I prevent this?
2. I don't like the grey background and would like the grid to fill the whole space, right and below.

I have two columns were the first one is AllowEdit = False. The second column I am setting the AllowEdit and ReadOnly dynamically though the action FocusedNodeChanged.
Within the FocusedNodeChange subroutine I check if a specific value is in the row and if so I set it to be editable or non-editable. I am setting it to be editable with[code]...

Mar 6, 2012I have an editable DataGrid in a VB WPF application. The DataGrid itself has its SourceUpdated property set to my event handler. 2 of the columns in the grid are editable and have their NotifyOnSourceUpdated flag in the Binding set to True. The event is firing properly, but I can't seem to figure out the best way to determine what has changed. The 2 columns depend on each other in that one of them is an item quantity and the other is a case quantity. If the user changes one of them I want to re-compute the other value and update the grid as well as the binding source. I'm sure there are a number of ways to handle this, but I'm curious what is the best way. I could listen for change event on the datagrid, see what changed, set some variables, and then use those in the SourceUpdated event, but that doesn't seem elegant.

I want to run a macro that searches through the cells and tests to see if they have a substring sitting at the end of the value that is in the format "-Q[number]-[number][number]" OR "-[3 LETTER MONTH ABBREVIATION][number]-[number][number]" OR "-[3 LETTER MONTH ABBREVIATION][number][number]-[number][number]"and then if the test is true, the cell color is changed to RED.So if I ran the macro on the example I gave above, it would turn the cells with the following values red:

I can do all the VB side of things but I don't know Regex but know it would help. I'm in a bit of a rush to finish this job for work because I finish working here in 2 days and need to get it done before I leave!
VS 2008 Dgv "new" Row - All Columns Editable While Rest Of Grid Readonly
Apr 15, 2009I have a datagridview with 5 columns on it. It has two "views" according to whether the user is logged in or not. If they aren't logged in all 5 columns are readonly. If they are logged in 2 of those columns become usable but the other 3 are still readonly.
My issue is "how do I allow someone to add a row to the grid without turning off my readonly columns"?
I know that I could change the readonly status for the columns and then change it back after I add the row...but I was hoping for something easier. Or at least only to unlock the "new" row area, but leave the rest alone.
Is it possible to set readonly on dgv cells as well? Or just on the columns and grid object?

Parse A Percentage Value From A Grid Cell?
Mar 12, 2011I'm trying to parse a formatted percentage value back from a datagridviewcell that has been set with the "P" formatter:
double percent = 0.96
cell.value = percent.tostring("p")
gives me a displayed value of 96 % which is what I want.
Now what I'm looking for is something like what is provided for the other formatting strings - NumberStyles.HexNumber, Currency etc so that I can do this
double percent= double.parse( cell.value, NumberStyles.Percent )
which would give me a percent value of .96
I have scoured the .net documentation but can't find any sort of AllowPercent style like the others - is there one?
