May 26, 2011I have a window having 2 dropdowmlists(schemename-SN and propertyno-PN) , one chkbox ,one "VIEW" button.SN has options "all" with value=0 and many other options with respctive values.Now,i want the code should behaves as follows:
1.0n window onload, SN must b visible bt PN nt.
2.if i select SN other thn All...the PN shud b visible and if i select "All" ,PN hides.
3.when check box is checked- PN hides,and if it is unchecked- PN visible..
Important:-This whole ddl n chk box are in updatable panel,button is nt in that.I want a browser compatible code so javascript can't b used directly(cz they give problem in mozzila and chrome).Right now, i have done this JavaScript and its is working fine.

(Nothing is attached to a datasource.)The 4th column is a checkbox cell.How do I detect if that checkBox is checked or unchecked?This code strangely reports TRUE or FALSE at random times. When the index change event of this first dropdownlist fires, I need a second dropdownlist (populated according the value of the first ddl).
It's ok to generate the second ddl but what about a third? I actually need it to be dynamically created (it should be able to create an infinite number of dropdownlist)
How can get the index change event of the 2nd dropdownlist, 3rd, 4th and so on?

Nov 30, 2010Firstly i'm not asking for the exact code here but the below is what i'm trying to do:I have a gridview with DropDownList and CheckBox and I have a button outside the gridview that will add a new row within the gridview.I have no problems with the adding row but I have a problem with saving the state of the checkbox/drop down list.Everytime I checked the checkbox and add a new row, all the DDL/CB will be reset.So how can I do it so that when I add a new row, the checkbox that I've checked before will still remain check.

Also, when the value of dynamically created brandDropDownList is changed, it first fires the SelectedIndexChanged event of district DropDownList and then fills the licencee DropDownList. When the checkbox is checked then the data is added from the database to the dropdownlist of the combobox but when i uncheck it then the data is not removed from the dropdownlist of the combobox. In the above code i think i need to add an else condition to remove the data from the dropdownlist of the combobox and make it empty when the checkbox is unchecked.......but i cant give the proper else condition in the above code.

May 18, 2010I currently have a sql command that inserts info into a table through one of my statements. One of the tables columns is defined as an integer. The integer value inside that columns cell's is one that I would like to retrieve, and then set it to a value my enumeration (a string value) and later display on my datagridview.
The problem I am having is that when I retrieve the column's value from the table(let's say 1) I can't set the value of the rows cell to my enumeration type, it tells me the table holds integer values only and so I can't change it to text. How can I accomplish retrieving my integer value, setting it to my enumeration type (a string value) and displaying it in my datagridview in the same cell that the integer was?

May 30, 2009I have a program in which I am doing a sql select on two tables with an outer join. In one option of my search I need to show all items in both tables so some items in the row will come back with a null value. I am familiar with using the DefaultCellStyle.NullValue = which works great when replacing Null values with the same value.
I am in need of replacing the null value in column 0 with the value in column 10. I think I am close but have not had any luck researching this on my own. Here is what I have.
dgvInventory.Columns(0).DefaultCellStyle.NullValue = CStr(dgvInventory.Item(10, ???).Value) if I replace the ??? with any value I get that rows data but all null values become the same, what can I do to tell it to replace the current rows column 0 with the current rows column 10 if column 0 is null.

Mar 12, 2011I'm trying to parse a formatted percentage value back from a datagridviewcell that has been set with the "P" formatter:
double percent = 0.96
cell.value = percent.tostring("p")
gives me a displayed value of 96 % which is what I want.
Now what I'm looking for is something like what is provided for the other formatting strings - NumberStyles.HexNumber, Currency etc so that I can do this
double percent= double.parse( cell.value, NumberStyles.Percent )
which would give me a percent value of .96
I have scoured the .net documentation but can't find any sort of AllowPercent style like the others - is there one?
