Error In Getting Dates In Database

I used a code to get the dates between 2 dates from the database (column with dates dd/mm/yy) , I think it works nice first time,[code]as you see , the code let the user to insert a number and minus it form the date of today , then calculates the date that I want , after that I use BETWEEN Clause to get all dates between them But now , this code gets some data and overpasses others , I mean some of the dates is between the tow dates but the code never get it , why that happens ?

My textbox6 represents the dateprinted of my asssessment form.. i code it like this :

I'm using a database to store a load of data and some of which is the date from a datetimepicker and its storing the date and time for me. but its not saving the date and time for me its just leaving it blank any ideas
i set up the database vis the database creater in VB 08
call the field Dateout and the other column "Datetime" and i would of thought that would of saved me date and time.
in datetimepicker_value changed section ive got it down as datetimepicker.text as now.date.tostring

my problem is want to use WHERE clause to extract only year that fulfill a specified criterion. My coding as below, the coding below is extract all the month,day and year. But i only want year only. I am using MS Access. My textbox(cbYear) can select January To December. Can anyone give me a guideline to correct the coding.

I have an accounts program. My cash book shows data based on date picked from DateTimePicker. Cash book is not entered everyday. I want to make my datetimepicker so that based on dates found in the database, it changes colour or enable / disable some dates, for which cash book has been entered. How is it possible?

I am currently making a college project for which i need to send scheduled emails.I googled for it and found out the we can do it through outlook. Is there any way to automate that process through vb, so that it will check for the dates in the database and send an email whenever necessary?Outlook is not important for me... I just need to send scheduled emails.And i even need to send sms (single and bulk) according to the needs... is there any free API for that too???I have already tried the google sms feature but it didnt work for me

I have a field in my database that holds dates as strings in this format: dd/MM/yyyy Now I want to load then into a var as dates vb.net Dim dte as date I am having problems with the format. Vb doesn't recognize my date format as a date when I use this for expample:

I am reading dates from a table in a database to display in a DataGridView column that is formatted as a date. The problem is that when the value is null in the database my program errors out because it cant convert the value to a date. How do you guys handle this? *Edit: If I set the value of my date variable to "Nothing" it displays as "1/1/0001" in my DataGridView, and I would like the cell to be empty for the null dates.

I am currently using VB. I want to do a Calendar Control which have dates highlighted/selected. All these dates are retrieved from a database.
how to put all the dates into an array Second thing I need to know is how to highlight all the dates in the array.

I am using Visual Basic 2008, and SQL Server 2005. I have a single-user client-server app (i know that sounds stupid, but its for future expandibility and also the fact that documentation was easier to find for SQL server than Access files).The app is basically a medicals records system.
In one of the tables, called 'visits', it stores the dates on which each patient visits the doctor, among other things like symptoms and diagnosis. Another table stores all the patient names and IDs along with other details, and a relation has been set up between the patient ID in the patients table and the visits table. So i dragged the visits table from within the patients table (to get only the visits for that particular patient), and dragged it onto the form to make a datagridview. However, the datagridview didn't seem to recognise MS SQL server's smalldatetime format, and tried representing it as a picture. When i changed the format of the column to text boxes, it gave me a type mismatch error (Inconvertible type mismatch between SourceColumn 'VisitDate' of DateTime and the DataColumn 'VisitDate' of Byte[].) That means, for some reason, it is trying to convert the smalldatetime data to byte before it shows it, which is leading to the error. How do i fix this?
Also, I remember seeing some option for using completely custom column types in the datagridview, but i cant seem to find it now. The options in 'Edit Columns' are very limited, but i would like to set it to a masked text box, or something with a fixed format. Can someone recommend a good column type for representing dates, and how to make the datagridview show that kinda column?

Ours is a transportation company. We do services/transportation/logistics for various companies.I am working on Scheduling a work order process for those companies who are registered with us.While during the process of registration, a company will specify the week number to execute a job during the contract period.So this will be a routine service which we need to perform for every number of weeks specified For Example: if any company specifies the week number as : 2. that means for every 2 weeks we need to do the service for that company during the contract period.
How to update the dates into the database server for each company for their jobs to be performed.So if my Admin wants to know all the jobs in this current week. I should be able to pick only those companies and their jobs in this week only.

Say the user specifies these two dates....
Start Date: 2010-12-05
End Date: 2011-01-15
If I select December 2010 I should get the folllowing
startdate = 2010-12-05
enddate = 2010-12-31
Select January 2011 then
startdate = 2011-01-01
enddate = 2011-01-15
Should I subtract dates? How can I get the start and enddate for the current month/year based on the overall start and end date.I'm coding in vb.net.

I'm using two datetimepicker controls to set the start and end dates for a range of dates I'm searching for.I want to make sure that the start date selected is not greater than the end date. This code works, but it runs the messagebox prompt twice for some reason. I've tried to ignore it from doing this, but it's not working. Can someone tell me what's wrong?

I recently upgraded the MS SQL Server installed on my personal computer from 2005 Express to 2008 Express. Problem is when I try to add an SQL database file to a project using VS 2005 I get an error message saying that the version of my database server is not supported, I must have SQL Server 2005 Beta 2 or later installed. I didn't do it yet but I'm pretty sure that when I open the other projects that I included a database file to it, I'm going to get the same error.
My question is it possible to have two SQL Servers installed on my machine? If so, is it a good idea to have two DB servers in the same machine?

Now, this works fine when I debug, however when I deploy the application I get the error saying "Could not find file", which I assume means i have got one of the publishing settings wrong? I don't think it is a code error because it works when I debug, but if anyone wants to see part of it please let me know.

the line "dataAdapter.Fill(dataSet,"Address") " will cause an error when the program is run. "Syntax error in query. Incomplete Query Clause." is the error shown. If I comment that line out the program runs perfectly. Everything that I have seen (and gone by as a tutorial for Database work) has shown that line of code working fine. have I missed something?
