View 4 RepliesIs there a way to tell the DISPLAY size of an image in a picture box? If the PictureBox.SizeMode=Zoom, the picture sometimes is not displayed as big as the picture box is, and is sometimes displayed smaller, or larger, than the actual image is. I just want to know what size it is actually displaying as.
View 3 RepliesI use some code to successfully resize and save images - but I want to save the image to 800x800 px size on a canvas of 900x900px so it has a white border type thing around it.
View 8 RepliesI have just found that if a DataGridView image column's size (height & width - in pixels) is smaller than the image's original size (in my case all images are exactly 180 x 180 pixels) at the time the cell is populated then the image is automatically being converted to a lower resolution I assume to fit the image completely within the size of the cell). How can I stop the automatic scaling of the image?
The image below show the same file displayed twice, both at 60x60 pixels ('Thumbnail' column) and a blowup of the image (PictureBox populated via the CellMouseEnter event) to it's right. You'll notice the resolution of the first blowup is far less the the second. so, what made the difference in the resolution of the blowups is? In the second blowup's case I'd first stretched the image column's width to ~180 pixels and set the row height to match (via the ColumnWidthChanged event) then populated the DataGridView then stretched the image column to 60 pixels (its minimum).
I am working with vb.net and want to increase the size of image when the cursor is over that image, but the image should come back to its original size when the cursor leaves that image area.I've used the following code to increase the size of image:[code]I've used the default size class but, it gives some different dimensions.by the code that brings the image into its original size that I've been declared into the picture box properties.
View 2 RepliesI am trying to split the image into 9 equal regions , and the below code does it well the problem is i want to get the selected image size and not picturebox sizeso what should i change to get the selected image size instead of picture box sizei dont want the picture box to grow in size with image because it will hide other buttons/textboxes etc
Dim xi As Integer = (PictureBox1.Image.Height)
Dim yi As Integer = PictureBox1.Image.Width
Dim px As Integer = xi / 3

View 5 RepliesI have a form which contains an Image control. What I am trying to do is find a way to adjust an image according to the size of the control and have the image look normal no matter how I adjust the Image control. I want the actual image to fill the Image control completely and not loose any integrity.
View 2 RepliesI'm writing a Cleint/Host program that sends a image over tcp (from printscreen, not a file) to the host. Everything seems to work fine and the image is transmitted and displayed in a picturebox plus saved to a folder. The problem is when the printscreen is bigger than 176040 B. First the limit was 128000B but after setting the sendbuffersize and recivebuffersize to 1000kb the limit is 176040 B. Could it be a limit in the tcp protocol?

View 2 RepliesI am using VS2010 and have an application that lets the user search for an image to store on a SQL database. I want to be able to reduce the size of the image when it passes certain size for obvious reasons.
View 1 RepliesI have a picturebox with a tiled background image (plane white bitmap), and an "image" resource centered in the middle of it, I would like to chance the size of this centered image within the picturebox.
I tried:
picScaledRepresentation.SizeMode = PictureBoxSizeMode.CenterImage
picScaledRepresentation.Size = New Size(Width, Height)
But this just changed the the size of the whole picturebox, rather than the image within it.
I'm currently working on a school project. And a part of the program is to 'change' the images. All images added are BMP-files. But the output has to be JPEG. Now there are 2 other problems:
- The width of the image should be between (70-165 ) Pixel and the height between (65-185 )Pixel
- The filesize of the image should be between (3-4 KB)
I know how to change the width/height, but it's hard to make the filesize between 3-4 KB.
How do I create a program that finds the position of an image that is contained in another image?

My users uploads a picture and the picture get saved into my SQl Server Database.My users view the picture on the page in a normal Image WebControl with size 150px by 150px - example can be found[url]...
If the user uploads a picture of 300px by 200px the image will look funny in my static 150px by 150px Image box. Any idea how i can display the Image so it wont be fuzzy?
Also, how can a have some form of pop-up that will appear on the screen, showing the actual size of the picture from the database when the user clicks on the 150px by 150px Image.
Note: I dont want the Image static size to increase as this will totally mess up my page layout and look. It must be some form of pop-up or something. Something i have seen before i think was really cool. User clicked on the small image and then a pop-up appeared in the middle of the screen with the actual size of the picure and everything ells on the page was disabled until the user clicked on the close button.
I'm using this class. [URL]. Is there a way for me to set the output image size? The size is too big for what I need. Any way to shrink it to suitable size?
View 7 RepliesI can not seem to figure out how to change the size of a photo being put into a picture box.I need the photos that are placed in the picture box to come in their original size....I have 4 different pictures in an ImageList and depending on what a Text box from a different form says, one of the photos will be displayed in a picturebox when the form is loaded. Right now all the images show up very blurry and in the predetermined size in the imagelist. Here is my code:[code...]
As you can see I figured out how to autosize the PictureBox (candypic) to the size of the image coming in....just cant get the image to come in as the right size.....
When I created the imagelist all the photos have a default size of 16, 16 when entered into the list.....I see in the imagelist properties how to adjust the image size but it groups them together as one.
I have wrote this code to capture image of desktop and save it somewhere!
i want to know how can i reduce the size of it[code]....
When you put an image in a picturebox, and have the sizing format for the picturebox set to zoom, how would you get the width and height of the image?
View 3 RepliesI have the following barcode image:
I'm using the following iTextSharp VB.NET script to generate a PDF document containing this barcode:
Dim pdfDocument As iTextSharp.text.Document = Nothing
Dim filename As String = HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath("barcode.pdf")
pdfDocument = New iTextSharp.text.Document()
[Code]....
When this PDF is generated, however, the image is appearing larger than expected, and is distorted:
I can't see anywhere where I'm setting the image to be a specific size, so why would it distort like this? And how can I prevent it?
It's crucial that this image remains the size it is intended to be so that it can be read by barcode scanners.
