I want to make a ProgressBar with text inside it and I want to make the ProgressBar not using bars. Sample in the picture :
I can make the text inside the ProgressBar with CreateGraphics and DrawString, but I still can't make the progressbar not using bars.
I am having a pplication, where I need to send EMail to multiple persons one after the other, what I need to show is the Grid which is populated with the PersonName,EMailProgressBar, Status. I am using the DevExpressGrid so I had been able to bind grids with these three items and as an ColumnEditControl for the EmailProgress I had assigned Progressbar. But now what I am not able to do is show the Progress in grid one after the other as emails are being sent. I mean when the first email is sent the progressbar in first row should be active and as soon as second email is started it should showing progress for secod row of grid. I know it is easy said then done but I hope that there are some experts out there which may have done something similar in past or have some ideas.

View 3 Repliesactually i'm trying to write a small program for my project's presentation. i created a form with buttons, each time i click on a button, i want a text loaded from MS word document to be displayed inside the form.
i thought about dislaying the text inside a label or textbox, but the problem is that the text doesn't preserve its state, i mean colors and fonts which are defined in the MS word document, it just displays everything in black color, small size..etc, even if i change the properties of the label in color or font, thoses changes will be applied to the whole text.
is there any control who can display the text loaded from a MS word coument with its colors and fonts which are already defined in the word document, or there any solution to do this ?
I have a question about how to validate a text box with only word inside. Below is my code i use, it's only can detect if number 1 to 9 in single number, but not 11 or 999 or Joanne11 Joa223nne etc. I want it can detect the text box have and number or symbol then will show an error messageBox, else continue.

I have a textbox on a form which I load the contents of a text file into. The values for some of the properties are as follows:
Readonly = false
Wordwrap = false
Multiline = true
Scrollbars = Vertical
When the scrollbars is set to vertical, then I am able to make any changes to the text inside of the textbox, deleting, typing in new text, cutting and pasting, etc. However if the scrollbars is set to both, then the only thing I am able to do is delete the text. It does not allow me to type any text into the textbox. All the other settings are the same as before. How would I make the text region editable with scrollbars set to both?
I'm currently developing a Media Player, everything works except the progressbar. It's always up to date with the progress of the playing song but you can't click on it yet if you want to rewind / fast forward.

View 3 RepliesI have a form with an Adobe PDF reader control. I point to a specific PDF I want to load when a button is clicked. The PDF is 28 Megs big and takes some time to load into the reader. I would like a progress bar to to show (like a showdialog kind of thing) so the user does not click all over the place and thinks the app is static.

The If Not... conditional code in the set method is there to prevent the SetProgressText procedure running every time the property is set. The Value property of a ProgresBar is an Integer and if the code that is setting it runs through thousands of loops (>600,000 in my case) then there's no point updating the text every time since it can only actually change 100 times for a 0-100 ProgressBar. The 600k looping takes about 2 seconds usually, without that conditional code it takes at least 2 minutes!
