For this code I am able to populate the first combobox and when I select the specific item in combobox then the second combobox shows only the first element of that item.
In MS access 2007 I have created 2 tables:
1) Contains the device ex:computer
2) Contains the device and its parts ex: cpu, monitor so here the device has duplicate values
Table names are device and parts.

I am new to vb.net and I am using visual studio 2010. I have two comboboxes on a form, each combobox is set to DropDownList so that a list of items can show in the combobox, but no text is allowed to be entered.
For combobox A, if user chooses item 1, the list of combobox B should be updated accordingly. I think this is quite common on a lot of applications. But I do not know to implement it. I even do not know the keyword to search for the relevant property or event handler.

Now what I want is that when I choose a beginstation, the chosen station will be gone in the combobox of the endstation so that I can't pick the same endstation as the beginstation.Is there a way to do this? Because there is a large amount of data in the table (60k+ records per month) it is taking the query a long time to pull the dataset back and populate the form. how I can decrease the overhead associated with querying a large dataset to populate a base form?

I have 12 Boolean values in an array. Each of these values represent a CheckBox in my application. I want my program to output a string, based on each value not selected. Each of these values will have a predetermined string that is different from the CheckBox's caption and will be joined to create a final string. I want to generate all the possible combinations for when there are 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on up to 12 of these options at once.
