Publish Build Errors (But No Errors In Debug Or Build) VB 2010
Jan 4, 2012So when i build or click debug on my program. No errors come up and its smooth. So i decide to publish my programme. However. I come up with a bunch of errors during the publishing.
Here they are:Error 1 Cannot publish because a project failed to build. 1 1 Simple CALC

Feb 12, 2011I'm trying to do is make a program to where when you click an option, a text outputs for each button clicked, the general design looks like this:
That's just a beginning, since the whole rest of the thing will be the same concept pretty much, and what I want to have it do is, like stated earlier, once the option is chosen, a text output, like this:
I know there is an alternative to solving that, but it will take me 10x more time, and that is, creating a new textbox, setting the visibility to False, and typing what I want outputted in that text box, then putting: RichTextBox1 = TextBox1.Text
I know that works, and gives me my output, but I just wanted to know if there was any other way but that.

Mar 23, 2010I'm looking to create a simple program with 1 text field, 1 button, and an area to display what is happening and if there were any errors.My goal is to be able to delete user profiles stored on a network drive by simply putting in the users ID and hitting the button.I'll use my own id as an example:If I put mdesieno in the txt box and hit the button, I'll need the button to map to the network drive and delete mdesieno.corp and mdesieno.v2 I would like the bottom half of the window to display text like:
"Deleting User Profile mdesieno.corp" SUCCESSFUL
"Deleting User profile mdesieno.V2" SUCCESSFUL
To me this seems pretty simple, but as I said, I do not know VB yet. Is there code out there that is already written to do something like this?

Build Fails But No Errors In Code
May 3, 2010I have a VB.net Solution in VS 2008 with 2 projects in it (The machine is running Windows XP Professional). I can build the one project fine. The other one the build keeps failing. Their are no errors in the code. I don't get any message when the build fail except, VS ask me if i want to run the last successful build. I have tryed cleaning the solution and then building and rebuilding it.

Mar 14, 2011After adding a string to the program from the resources the build always fails, and removing the string and the code to load the string does not solve the problem, as the build still fails. We've been using multiple versions of the program since this started happening with the most updated one, and adding the string is what started the failure in building even though we added other elements (like an exit button) and other forms without it failing. With the one that started with the build failures we've tried it on all types of computers and it does not manage to build on any of them, even one's with a new installation of Visual Basic Express 2010.
The exact line added that apparently makes the build fail is:

And the string added to the Resources isn't anything unusal compared ot the rest we have but it is this is:

Sep 5, 2009I have already done the creation of button and the dragging of button at runtime already.But now i need to know how do i save the last dragged button on the form and also detect the name of the last clicked button.so lets say i now drag a button to coordinates 25,254. so when i exit the form and the next time i launch it, the button will still be at 25,254. and this one will go on for the number of button i created like 100. so when i launch the form the 100 button will be at the exact position where i last saved them.the second part is lets say i created button1 and button2 on the form in runtime. so when i clicked the first button, it should display button1. and if i clicked on button 2, it should say button2. same goes for like 100buttons.
