View 3 RepliesI am attempting to move a highly referenced class from one namespace to another. Simply moving the file into the new project which has a different root namespace results in over 1100 errors throughout my solution.Some references to the class involve fully qualified namescape referencing and others involve the importing of the namespace.
I have tried using a refactoring tool (Refactor Pro) to rename the namespace, in the hope all references to the class would change, but this resulted in the aforementioned problem.Anyone have ideas of how to tackle this challenge without needing to drill into every file manually and changing the fully qualified namespace or importing the new one if it doesn't exist already?
we do have incidents that two different users signing on the same website and seeing other's account, one possible reason is the session id assigned to each sign on user got a collision - although the possibility could be extremely low, but in our case it is not acceptable as long as it is possible. So I am looking for a 100% absolutely secured session id?
View 4 RepliesSo I have a query I'm doign where, at the moment, the places to search are set in stone, but the values that maybe be searched for is variable.Right now, I have a drop down menu that allows you to choose a character class. This limits the items to a specific class. Then I can filter on text from a textbox.
However, each item in the list has a source, based on the book it is published in. I want a user to be able to choose several from a checkbox menu, then pass those values for inclusion in the criteria for finding items.
The problem I'm having is finding the most concise way to do dynamic WHERE clauses. There are several examples out there, and even a couple don't seem to want to do exactly what I'm doing, and I'm having trouble determining if it will work for me.
i want to make a paint sort of program and so i have read about how to add controls at runtime. but i cant figure out how to change the properties of the control... for ex, if i add a line( that is the user clicks the line tool on the toolbar) he should be able to place it anywhere on the area available, and after that also if later he wishes to select it and resize/change color etc. it can be done.
View 4 RepliesI was trying to code a save option for my project, it's a spammer that I have created and I have made it to where people can have their own personal spam message and when they want to use it all they have to do is click a radio button and the text will appear in the text box. Now like I said I want it to save, like they make their own customizable spamming options and then save it so they want have to continue typing in the message because that would defeat the purpose of my project.

I have a little question about application settings. I have a regular expression in my code which should be customizable by the user so I made an application setting for it. The regular expression is used in a class in the project and has the following value

I have 3 forms, one frmMain - main form, second is frmUserType- childform, and the last frmCreateUserType. In the main form I have a menu item to open my frmUserType, In this form I have a button to open another form which is my frmCreateUserType, In this form I have a button to add records then update the listview in frmUserType. I have a media browser program I am building. I am trying to use drag/drop so a user can drag media tracks from one listview to another listview and then use the second list view as a playlist in windows media player com object. Reading at MSDN I have found out that there is no built in support for item re-ordering with the listview control. I have listview1 working correctly but when I try to reorder items in listview2, the dragged item ends up at the end of the list. So basically I need to get the item insertion index corrected. I have tried more than 10 times to get this code right.

View 5 RepliesI'm using ListView control, with SmallIcons style in VB.NET. Icons are loaded fine, but when I start to scroll ListView down or up from scrollbar (clicking from arrows), rowheight drops to about half from normal in next 20-30 rows below/above upper/bottom row (depends from the scrolling position). After 1-2 seconds, ListView is "refreshed" and scrolling continues normally. When focus in on the ListView and I'm moving up/down with arrow keys or PageUp/PageDown, everything is normal. Any suggestions, what is happening? SmallIcons size is 16 * 16. Is it compulsory to set "Blank icon" with SmallIcon size to all rows, when adding them or what? Wasn't like that in VB6, how is it in VB.NET?

View 6 RepliesI have a listview control. it has an imagelist attached to it with two images in it. I have entered items into my listview, and they are using the first image in my imagelist.... GREAT! Now, there is a variable I have that will tell me which index in the listview is currently active, noting to do with what I select that could be at another index it's just what's being processed by the program at the time in some task.
Create a function that will change the images of all my listview items by looping through them. If the index variable is set to 2, I want the 3rd item in my list view set to use the 2nd image in my imagelist. The rest of the items in my listview need to be set to the first image in the imagelist.
