Im using a combo box...i've already created my table in the database called Gender. but im trying to
use data bound items to select the database source, display member and selected value im nt finding
the Gender table...why is that?

I have inherited an application at work that someone else started creating, right now about 1/2 of it is functional and is in use. My problem is that it is all done in 2.5 ?? and I am trying to step through it all to figure out how it works. I have always created my own binding sources, adapters and data tables.
One of the things I need to do is add a field to the fm_fieldman_master data table. I add the field in the db (SQL Server 2005)table, I come into VS and refresh the datasource, I then add the field to the fm_fieldman_master data table and the Fill,GetDAta() query I go into the designer and create all the attributes for the combo box

I am doing just fine loading the dispay text when the form loads, and saving the data to the client table, but, when I load the clients values, how do I cross reference the Source data value e.g. 1 to display the text "Not Hispanic" from the cspopup table.
I refreshed my data sources to include additional items from the SQL Server databases and it appears that my entire data source from my VB.NET project disappeared.I am using Entity Framework. I may have clicked on something wrong, not quite sure. Unfortunately I can't recreate the Data Source without creating a new Entity and Data Model.I can delete the entry in the App.Config file and recreated it, however things aren't quite right.Is there a way that I can recreate my Data Source from the entry that is in my App.Config file...since that appears to have remained intact.BTW, I can go to my Data Model and successfully refresh from there, however my project isn't connecting to the database so I have quite a number of errors until I can get reconnected.

"M" for males and "F" for female names, What i need the program to do is when the user click on either a Boys button and Girls button it will display the correct names into a listbox. for the love of me can not get the program to work correctly. i am trying to create a program which is a polling booth.Create a VB.Net program to implement the polling booth system.The program should contain 1 button and 1 textbox for each candidate.Two radio buttons are required to record gender.A vote cast button should also be available to initiate the recording of preferences updating the array values.If the vote cast is successful, a message should be displayed and the text boxes cleared, otherwise a message to the constituent will explain they need to adjust their preferences e.g. if two or more candidates receive the same preference. Re DataGridView Sorry don't really have any code - just a whole project. Basically I changed the underlying Access (accdb) Table by adding a new field, The new field shows up in the DataSources section of the Solution Explorer and in the "Edit DataSet with wizard" page but when I attach the binding source to a datagrid view, the new field is not there. I also created a new bindingsource but still not there.I just noticed I've another table where I changed the names to something more meaningful, and the old names are still there and the data for those fields doesn't display in the DataGridView

If you copy the data file to your project, it will be copied to the project's output directory each time you run the application" and the options are (yes , No , Help)
If I choose Yes I will not be able to make the application 'device independent ' since it will not be copied under the bin , and if I choose No , changes won't be applied to the DB

The question is: Why didn't this work? What will work instead? If I put bindings in a DataTemplate, it works. Blend, with its sample data stuff, implied that this should work, but it doesn't.
As I have no idea on how to retrieve access data at the specific location in the table, so I wrote VBA code t export the entire access database to a datagridview which is located in the form1. There's a column of datagridview contain complete address information of a image. I'm thinking a way to link image source (of form 2 or xaml file) to the the column so that the image will be displayed. is there any code to get cell value at the specific location in the table? In excel VBA, sheets("Sheetname").Cells(rownumber, columnnumber).value is used to get the cell value, but how about code for this case?

I'm sure there is a good tutorial somewhere on the internet. I'm okay with doing it with designer, but now when I have a situation where I can't use MDI container but tabcontrol.Other solution would be to make a MDI container out of tabcontrol. Is it posible or only other form can be MDI container.
I have 5 combo boxes that need to show the same list of items that come from a single dataset table. I have managed to bind the datatable to the combo boxes no problem at all.. but when I run the application and select an item from one of the combo boxes all the others change to the item I selected. After some research I believe that this problem is something to do with using the one datasource so I have tried assigning the dataset datatable to 2 different variables and used them as datasources for 2 of the comboboxes but the same still happens.
A work around to this I can see is to call the same methods and SQL select statements 5 times over to get individual datasources for each combo box but this doing that sounds crazy to me. how I can get around this easily? Code snippet below shows 2 combox boxes and their datasources. I'm using VS2005, .Net 2

I have a combo box with a data source. This box shows one column of a table and allows me to select one item.Next, I have an ordinary text LABEL that I need to put text from another column of the item selected above.I tried to set the data binding field of the label, but this grabs only the first row or data and shows the selected column. That is nice, but I can not figure out how to update the selected selected ROW when the combo box item is changed.In this case the combo box lists a bunch of inventory parts. When I select a specific part, I need the change the text in a label to show the manufacturer. (like a sub-form). I have a bit of code that reaches out and grabs a series of rows from SQL Server DB. I perform an inner join to get some related table data. In the process I get returned the user id of the creator of the data. I then want to pass this into a query to get back a full name. I am having no luck figuring out how to do just that. If I use the data visualizer I can see the name I am after, I cannot figure out the call to extract it

My code Adds a New Row from a Source Table called "objTablaOrigen" To a final table called "objTablaDestino". This tables are passed ByRef because they come from a DataSet respectively. objRowNuevo is The Row that will be added to "objTablaDestino" The data from "objRow" is well copied to the "objRowNuevo" (that is the new Row with type of objTablaDestino).

When a new user enters his user name & password, I want to add these on a data table that has two columns: User, Pass.
