Fields In Binding Source Not Changing When Underlying Access Table Has?

Re DataGridView Sorry don't really have any code - just a whole project. Basically I changed the underlying Access (accdb) Table by adding a new field, The new field shows up in the DataSources section of the Solution Explorer and in the "Edit DataSet with wizard" page but when I attach the binding source to a datagrid view, the new field is not there. I also created a new bindingsource but still not there.I just noticed I've another table where I changed the names to something more meaningful, and the old names are still there and the data for those fields doesn't display in the DataGridView
I am trying to create a form which will be fed by an underlying database to create multiple form fields for each entry in an underlying database table. This is for a program to monitor patients under anesthesia, and prior to surgery, the doctor will choose which monitors they will be using. Then, on the actual monitor screen which will pop up every X minutes, there will be a text box and a check box for each chosen monitor. I am relatively new to VB, so I have tried to illustrate what I am needing but using the logic that I know from my previous life in PHP.
I am using DevExpress's layout control to place the form fields, so that is the code in the middle of the first loop (on_load), and I know that part works, I just need to know how to name the fields and then recover those fields and commit the values to the database. (the text boxes are added to the database, the check boxes are used to determine if an entry is made for that monitor- i.e. at the end of surgery if a monitor is turned off). I know that my syntax for naming the fields is no where close to correct, and it probably would not work in PHP, but I remember doing something like this in a PHP application I built long ago. [Code]
[edit]oops - stupid typo - this is resolved and explained in the next post[/edit] I've got a BINDING SOURCE - that I bind to controls - textboxes mostly. I create a row in the datatable behind this BINDING SOURCE like this.
I have a typed dataset with 2 tables and a relation between the 2 tables. The relation is a 1 to 1 relation.First, who cane help me how to bind both the fields of the parent and the child table to a textbox.And second, in the dataset designer you cane preview the data. I have inherited an application at work that someone else started creating, right now about 1/2 of it is functional and is in use. My problem is that it is all done in 2.5 ?? and I am trying to step through it all to figure out how it works. I have always created my own binding sources, adapters and data tables.
One of the things I need to do is add a field to the fm_fieldman_master data table. I add the field in the db (SQL Server 2005)table, I come into VS and refresh the datasource, I then add the field to the fm_fieldman_master data table and the Fill,GetDAta() query I go into the designer and create all the attributes for the combo box

I'm sure there is a good tutorial somewhere on the internet. I'm okay with doing it with designer, but now when I have a situation where I can't use MDI container but tabcontrol.Other solution would be to make a MDI container out of tabcontrol. Is it posible or only other form can be MDI container.
I have an object databound to a WinForm. One property, BOLNumber is bound to a textbox on the form. When you change the value in the form, the underlying BOLNumber property is changed. But the property setter does some "formatting" to the value. I want to BOLNumber textbox to reflect the changes to the value made in the property setter immediately upon the textbox losing focus. I tried implementing the INotifyPropertyChanged interface, but I am either doing something wrong or misunderstanding something it would seem. How do I get the databound control to reflect the changes to the underlying data source?

I'm currently refactoring an old Visual Basic DLL (VB.Net), which stores all of its data in one module called Globaldefinitions as public fields. There are about 200 fields, referenced thousands of times all around the code:

I need to change the module into a class with non-shared fields. This means, each and every of these thousands of references needs to reference the instance of that class:

How do I go about this efficiently?
Regular expressions operating on the source fall flat. Refactoring tools like Re-Sharper or CodeRush don't seem to offer this functionality. Visual Studio 2010 cannot do it automatically either.
Why MS Access adodb in .NET returns 34 in fieldcount when table has 42 fields ?I see 42 fields in table of my MS Access mdb database. But ADODB layer in .NET sees only 34 fields. The Outofrange exception occures when I am calling method getOrdinal("FieldName") of reader class.

I have a combo box with a data source. This box shows one column of a table and allows me to select one item.Next, I have an ordinary text LABEL that I need to put text from another column of the item selected above.I tried to set the data binding field of the label, but this grabs only the first row or data and shows the selected column. That is nice, but I can not figure out how to update the selected selected ROW when the combo box item is changed.In this case the combo box lists a bunch of inventory parts. When I select a specific part, I need the change the text in a label to show the manufacturer. (like a sub-form). The above is more or less the complete question. I have created a table in the VB 2010 Database Explorer but I cannot for the life of me work out how I can get this copied or created into the underlying server. It is not appearing in the underyling serverand when I run the code of course I ge "invalid object <tablename>" I have data as well in the table that appears in Database Explorer. I think I have missed something fundamental in my overall conception of using VB 2010 Express with SQL Server Express in that I don't know if I have a local copy (that isn't then mirrored on the server), or what (the ____ have I got)? An article that explains the overall relation of Database Explorer to the underyling Server would be great as well
I'm trying to create a table in Word using data from a table in Access. There are four fields in the access table that I need. 3 fields are text which I can populate the Word without any issues. However the fourth field is a memo with >255 characters.I'm struggling to come up with the proper code to allow me to populate the Word field with the memo data that has more than 255 characters. I have a Windows Form application with a form that has an underlying data set. When the users click a particular button, the code clears some fields on the form but also is suppose to update a value in the underlying dataset on a field that is NOT displayed on the form.
In VB6 and VBA this is very easy to do. I simply says Forms!formname!NameOfUnderlyingFieldNotshown and pass it the value. How do I do this in VB.net with a Windows Form and underlying dataset?
I'm unsure as to how to take two pieces of information from a table and display them into a textbox. I am building VS2008 app using Data Source Wizard. The Data connection is working. The Table Adapters are built. The DataSet is created and I can preview data through it. I used drag/drop from the DataSource/DataSet to put a DataGridView onto a form.I can view the records there. I can delete records there. But when I update or add records from there, all of the data is not getting changed. I am connected to ISeries DB2. If I add a new record the only field that get populated in the database is the key field (the first field in the file). If I update a record in the database, the only field that gets changed is the key field.
I have a series of text boxes in my form that can accept 6 digits. Upon entering the 6th digit I want the focus to move to the next text box. Is there a way to initiate a Tab command (just putting chr(9) didn't work...so that may be wrong) once the counter hits 6? I can't just add txtEnter2.KeyDown (etc.) to the Handles of the sub declaration because then they would all set the focus to txtEnter2 instead of to the next text box. I'm sure it is something ridiculously easy but it is escaping my grasp.
I have a program that needs to generate a random 8 digit ID and check to see if it in the database before adding it to a new row.
At the moment I have the correct code for doing this, but I have it in the event handler Bindingsource.AddingNew. This event handler executes my code and THEN adds the new row. How can I get it to add then new row and THEN execute my code? Is there an event handler I can use to do this?

The problem is I added a new column in my table, I have a dataset linked to that table and a source of data of my datagridview.
Now, when I'm going to add a new column into my datagridview, I didn't find the new column which I added recently. Seems that the binding source is not updating whenever an update takes place.
