I want to select the data from the database when it is = the date in the text box but it is retrieving data in mm/dd/yyyy format. My sql is:

I just want to select 1 random record from my database for example in my table1 i have a,b,c,d,e,f,g then everytime i click the button in my program it will output randomly between a to g then i can add another record from my database and if I make it a to x it will randomly choose between a to x, the random doesnt have any conditions.

If I select an item from listview, it will get all the records at the database and display it to richtextbox.

After I select it, the 2 richtextbox will be filled with diagnosis and prescription.
I don't have any idea how to do it so I don't have any codes to show yet but I was able to display the records from my database to the listview. The only thing left is when I clicked it, it will display the records.

When I used the Access report VBA, I used the AfterUpdate() event to calculate a sum. I need to know how to do the same operation in VB 2008 Express using the SelectedIndexChanged event of the combo box.

I need to calculate the sum of all "Pages" of a particular "JOBTYPE" in the Access database for the YEARMONTH selected in the combobox. I have a query in Access called "JobTypeExact_Query" that contains all the pages of that particular JOBTYPE that I need. Ive been learning to use visual basic doing this and i know the code needs clearing up but i made an app that is storring values in an mdf mysql datatable. I made the app so you will direct it to a database through a menu where you select the file.. This works allright on my machine but..When i put it on another machine with .net 4.0 installed it still complains about Mysql problems..So im guessing theres a part missing. Is there something i need to install on the other computer using my app?.
If so what?. Maybe theres another way i can connect to a database without haveing to install stuff on other computers to make it work?.
