How To Split String Received From Modem And Store Parts In Database

I am doing a project on Sending/ Recieving SMS through VB.Net 2008. I am getting the following string while recieving a message from the modem
+CMGR: "READ READ", "+919223336661",,"08/10/10,12:45:00+22"THIS IS A TEST MESSAGE
Now I want to break it and store in database as
Sender= +91223336661
Date Time= 08/10/10,12:45:00+22
Message=THIS IS A TEST MESSAGE
Where Sender, Date Time and Message are the column name of the database. The maximum length of the Message is 160 characters.

im trying to make a program that can read a sms received through gsm modem.im using serial port to connect to the modem and use this code...

in the first IF statement im trying to get the index of the msg then send an AT command to read the smg in the second IF, im trying to get all the data of the msg. in the index of 1 of the array i can get the number of the sender..my problem is that i cant get the entire msg of the sms.
how can i split the recieved data to my vb.net application and then save it, so for example whatever starts with e must be appended to a textfile and whatever starts with a must be display in the label.[URL]..

I just want to know what is your suggestion about storing database connection strings in .NET? I am using My.Setting usually, but now I am facing with versioning of my application. When I upgrade my application to higher version the value in My.Setting has been changed, it didn't remain as user has set before, but changed base on my machine's setting. eg. the value in My.Settings Version 1.0.0.0 (User's computer) is 'ABC' When I develop again some new feature on my machine and set its version to 1.0.0.2, of course the connection string in my computer's My.Setting file is different with User's computer's My.Setting. So when I copied my recent updated file to use's computer, then run the application, the application read the new My.Setting file from my computer but not from their computer. the value in My.Settings Version 1.0.0.2 (Developer's computer) is 'DEF' Therefore I have to reset and reset their connection strings onve I updated their application, that's too annoying?
I am trying to split a long string based on an array of words. In the code below there is a inparameter named thumbs to the function CreatePage. thumbs is an arraylist. My question is if you know if it's possible to split the arraylist thumbs into parts of 15 and call the function with thumbs(1-15), thumbs(16-30), thumbs(31-45) and so on. I am storing my connection string in my app.config file. I am using sql server express 2005. The connection string on my dev machine is different from the ones at the clients. so each time I update I open the config file and edit the connection string setting. This is quite a pain.also I have now published my app to an ftp folder so that the clients can get the updates each time I make changes. saves me the hassle of going to them each time i update. so now i need it to be so that I won't have to change the setting all the time.Would the best way be to store the connection string in a settings table in the database?
I'm retrieving data from Active Directory(name,department,title,company,mail) into a string seperated by commas and I want to split the string and store them to array where i can export it in excel before updating it to my database. but i how do i store them to an array?

I have a string 17:55:88 I want to split this up into the three sections and store them in varibles.IE I would like to have the 88 stored in a varible the 55 in a varible and the 17 in a varible.the following code does what i want, but i dont know how to put the results into their own varibles.
I am attempting to call a remote modem using a local modem connected via USB. Programming language is VB.NET and I am using the SerialPort control to talk to the modem.
Communication is as follows:
I send: ATZ0[CR]
Modem responds: ATZ0[CR][CR][LF]OK[CR][LF]
I then try to dial a number:
I send: ATDTnnnnnnnnnn[CR] where nnnnnnnnnn is a valid number
The modem responds with:ATDTnnnnnnnnnn[CR][CR][LF]ERROR[CR][LF]
All other commands seem to work without any issues
For info the modem is a MultiTech MT5634ZBA-USB-V92
If I use hyperterminal and type the same commands in it works as expected and dials the number, so it must be something I am doing in my code, possible some setup in the SerialPort control
