I'm scanning using WIA. What is happening is there is a temp file created under "C:Documents and SettingsuserLocal SettingsTemp". For some reason, the WIA service is deleting the temp file before I can transfer the image. The exact error is: "The system cannot find the file specified. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070002)". Is this a bug in WIA? The error occurs on the last line...

I have a project that up until recently has been working fine. It sends an email message to a user once a file has been successfully uploaded, registered and/or approved to use the website. It is written in VB.NET framework 1.1, running ASP.NET on a Windows 2003 server SE sp2.

Today I realized upon testing I get the following error:The procedure entry point IstrcmpiI could not be located in the dynamic link library MSDART.DLL.Upon some research I found that maybe I needed to install MDAC 2.8, which i downloaded and installed today, however i still get the same error. I have had my communications and network admins check traffic and connectivity to the smtp server and all is working fine. Yet I still get the error.
I try to install Visual Basic 4-32bit on Vista Business but I get an error message 'VBCustom_Controls_Actions_Reg_Graph was unable to register itself in the system registry' ; is there a way to get around it ?
View 1 RepliesI created a simple program which basically launches programs installed on 32-bit system in the C:Program Files directory. I purposely put an .exe line of code in the compiler but that .exe wasn't installed on the system, I was expecting for an error when I tried to click the launch button and I did. NOTE: I already have a beginning If statement and that program is actually installed in the system, works perfectly no errors appearing.

When the error appeared I looked at it in detail and found it was a system.componentmodel.win32exception type of error, I'm guessing that means a file doesn't exist in the directory I specified therefore the program displays an error.Now what I want to do is display a message box saying along the lines "This program cannot be found in your system" or something like that. But I don't know what the actual syntax/code for it, so far from thinking I have this.

Is it something dealing with the permissions set with the database server or something? I need a code for the open file dialog that if a file is not supported then a message box appears stating the error. This is my open file dialog code. [code] The message box pops up like it is suppose to, when you click ok the open file comes back up like it is suppose to. When you put in the correct file the message box comes back up again. Also the message pops up even if the correct file is put in the open file. but if you close the file dialog the image is where it is suppose to be.I believe the code for the public sub wrongfile is what is the problem. can some one look it over and let me know what changes are needed.
View 7 RepliesIve created a program that uses a SQL select statement to retrieve certain data from an access database, such as SELECT DATE WHERE Score=10;. This works if the item is specified as 0 but will only retrieve the first result, and im using navigation buttons so i want to be able to view all of them one at a time. So i tried changing item to the column the data is located in (which is 1) and the row will vary depending on what button is pressed. but i now get an error message saying "cannot find column 1"

I'm trying to make a toolkit of all the software that I use to do virus removals, PC Tune-Ups etc.. The issue that I am having is I cannot get the program to execute. For Example: I have created a small program with several buttons on it that I would like to execute specific programs that I have when they are Clicked. If I Click the 'Combofix' button, I would like 'Combofix' to start.
On my computer all the button functions work properly they execute the program that i have coded them to execute just fine on MY COMPUTER. However, when I publish the program and migrate all the publication to another computer the buttons do not work properly. My first thought is that I do not have them directed properly. As if the program does not have the other software (combofix) being copied with it.

But on any Win 7 64-bit system, if the filename is a Windows Journal file (.jnt file), I got the exception "The system cannot find the file specified". I used VS 2008 for both Win 7 32-bit and Win 7 64-bit.

I have a solution with multiple projects. G1Global is a project which is added as a project reference to other projects. I get the following runtime error message.Could not load file or assembly 'G1Global, Version=1.0.3474.14217, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.I searched for this version of the file, but it is not even there in my system. All the projects are referenced to a different version(1.0.3469.17014) of the G1Global.

I'm running an FTP Server using Golder FTP Server, which is freeware. I think it's setup correctly because connecting to the FTP Server using the exact same string as above using Windows Explorer works great.
I am using a System.Diagnostics.Process to execute dirquota.exe. I catch an exception at .Start() which is "The system cannot find the file specified".
I am now doing:

This outputs pretty much every file in that directory apart from dirquota.exe.
I try to debug my program using the little green arrow and I get an error message saying the .exe file isn't in the indebug directory.Also I try using the "ClearList()" command but it comes up saying it doesn't exist when I have used it in another program.

I'm running windows 7 64 bit and using VS 2010. I'm trying to use the filesystem.getfiles to find a file on the computer and return the path for it.
