i have a data set on the data set many data adapters .i add a data adapter in the data set the designer was automatically delete then lot of error was coming and i search in google and i go this method and i do that right click the data set and "Run Custom tool" on that time the designer will automatically created. but when i do that a error was coming "The custom tool 'MSDataSetGenerator' failed. Exception of type 'System.Data.Design.InternalException' was thrown."

nutty VS2005 error. I know I have an error in my dataset file (XSD file), but none of the errors listed after this warning message truly points to the source of the problem. In the past, when my dataset had only a few tables, it was easy to find the error. Now I have 50+ tables. I'm not sure where to start.

I'm using Visual Studio 2005 Team System For Software Developers. When I try to add a new DataSet to any kind of project, I cannot get to the visual DataSet designer. Rather, I get the following error (all the time no matter what the type project actually is - Windows app, Web site, etc.): The custom tool 'MSDataSetGenerator' failed. I'm prompted with this error 'Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown' it was thrown when filling a dataset with 400,000+ records. And I think obviously is about memory matter because of the number of records to be transfer.My program goes this way.. after filling a dataset from a table it will transfer all data into another table. Now my question is, Is it possible in vb.net that while filling a dataset it transfers the record immediately into another table? Please give me an idea on how to do this.

I just tried to run a project of mine that has a wpf control in it and i get the error:Exception of type 'System.ExecutionEngineException' was thrown.The error automatically closes after about 3 seconds When I create a new WPF project visual studio closes down - no error messages, also just closes with no errors if I create a form application and add a WPF control to it. Also compiled applications just bring up the "xxx has stoped working" error - even apps that are not mine such as Microsoft Pivot that use WPF?

My intention is to 'convert' the low level exception into something more meaningful, so I throw an exception of my own creation. I want this to bubble up to a place where I can handle it.However what is happening is my debugger breaks and tells me that an exception of type "QuickBooksConnectionException" was thrown.I know that, I just threw it, why are you catching it? From what I've read, this ought to work, and there doesn't appear to be an analogous Java throws keyword, so perhaps it is my debugger.

Last night my project worked just fine. I left my system up overnight and came in this morning - my project is still on the screen, so there was no update/reboot or any of that. I added 6 lines of code, and suddenly get Build Failed. I removed those lines of code, and still get Build Failed. I restarted Visual Studio, and still get Build Failed. No Exception is ever thrown and no cause for a failed build is ever given. Output is set to Diagnostic, and it indicates nothing wrong or out of the ordinary - every task completes successfully right up to the end when it says Build Failed.

My project include 350 forms, 780 thousand lines of code (350 thousand designer code).But when i want to design form, every two or three design VS gives "Exception of type 'System.OutofMemoryEception' was thrown" error. I am restart the project and this error gone until rebuild or open a few form... I couldn' work over 5 minutes...
I am looking at memory usage : devenv.exe using 500/600 mb and my sistem using 1.9 GB ram of 4GB ram .I don't think so but is VS crash or not support 350 forms in project? Is there any solution about VS memory options?

I created a typed dataset a day or so ago, then I added a whole bunch of tableadapter/tables with some relationships etc... suddenly out of nowhere it decides my dataset "is not defined". everywhere in my code where i use this dataset now has an error. I tried not to pull out my hair and do a Clean then Rebuild solution... out of nowhere it just refuses to generate code. Object reference not set to an instance of an Object. It would be nice if it was my object so i could find it but it's not.
Curiously I also lost the little database icon on the dataset in the solution explorer.I can still open it in the designer and preview my queries etc... it just wont make the code. it's driving me insane. anyone got a solution?

I am using VS 2008, Office 2007, and Win7 Home Premium on my system.I have a simple application which should be a breeze to build. All I am attempting to do is pull data from an Access database with four small tables into a data grid on a windows project. Should be simple, set up the data connection, choose a datagrid from the table in the data source view, drag it onto the page and done, right?I can't get it to work. It will all work fine until I attempt to run or debug the project. The data will not show up. The data grid does, but I get this error: A first chance exception of type 'System.InvalidOperationException' occurred in System.Data.dll
As I said, the project seems to build fine, but it will not pull the data. After the initial build I get the message that Windows will show this page in Compatibility View. Is it something with Win7 Home Premium, or a setting somewhere?

I am trying to perform a simple bound connection between an Access database and a text box on a form. This is actually Chapter 18 of the "Microsoft Visual Basic 2008" book.I get the same error message when trying to create my own project "MY ADO Form" or the "ADO Form" project supplied from the DVD provided with the book. I am running the 90 Day Trial Version of Visual Studio 2008 with SP1 and Net 3.5 SP1.
My operating system is the 64 bit Version of Vista with all updates.The error when I try to run the application in the debug mode is:"A first chance exception of type 'System.InvalidOperationException' occurred in System.Data.dll"and as a result no data shows up in the text box from the database and the data selection bar is grayed out in the form. The underlying database "Students Data Set" appears to be fine as I have seen the correct data for the fields "Instructor" and "PhoneNumber" prior to running the program and when connecting with the database.

I have a large project where we have 2-3 dll projects that are converted from VB6 to VB.NET. We have fixed all the issues that caused compilation errors, and most of obvious issues in running, so now we have basically a program up and running. The exe is created from scratch in VB.NET, using a lot of functionality from the converted dll's (including GUI forms). What I wonder is when I run the program in debug mode, I get a bunch of warnings in the "Immediate Window" saying:
A first chance exception of type 'System.Exception' occurred in Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll
...and some of other type (but most of them in Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll).I was wondering if this is common in projects converted from VB6, or if it is caused by bad design in our code...
