JavaScript - RadioButton List OnClientClick Property

I've noticed there is no OnClientClick() property for the radiobuttonlist in the ASP.NET control set. Is this a purposeful omissiong on Microsoft's part? Anyway, I've tried to add OnClick to the radio button list like so:
For Each li As ListItem In rblSearch.Items
li.Attributes.Add("OnClick", "javascript:alert('jon');")
Next
But alas, it doesn't work. I've even checked the source in firebug, and there is no javascript shown in the radiobuttonlist. I'm using ASP.NET control adapters so don't know if that has anything to do with it. (I wish asp.net/javascript would just work out the box!!!)

I am a little confused to use this script and how it actually works?Here is my script:

Now if I click the button it should open the iframe and display the message which I am able to do.Now the problem is how do I call the button1_Click event which is in the codebehind at the same time. I have used OnClick and OnClientClick event as shown below but it's not working and I'm not getting any errors.

I've written a JavaScript function which validates form input and highlights the input fields and displays any error messages, which I have tested and all works fine. i have called this function from the OnClientClick attribute of an asp:Button tag. However, if the JavaScript function determines there to be validation errors, I want to stop the form from submitting. How do I do this?

I have a very simple class that holds a few public properties - ID, Text, Colour, etc. and a Boolean called 'SelectedItem'. Just like the Checked property on RadioButtons, only one item can have its SelectedItem property set to True within a particular group. Note: there will be several separate groups (lists), each allowed to have only one item with SelectedItem = True.
My first thought was that I would probably just have to handle everything outside of the class, setting SelectedItem to False for every other item in a particular list when another item was selected. But that seems rather inelegant to me. So I've been trying to think of how this might be done within the class. For example: could I perhaps have a private string property called say "GroupName" - set in the New sub when adding a new instance of the class - and then use a private shared method to set every item's SelectedItem property to False, provided the item has the same GroupName as the newly selected item? I would have a go at doing this but I have no idea how to enumerate every instance of a class from within that class, or whether that's even possible. Is it? Or is there another (better) way to achieve my goal? Here is a cut-down version of what I've got so far:

As can be seen: instead of instantiating a new ResourceItem and passing that as an argument to the manager's Add procedure, I'm simply passing the details of the new item and the procedure is creating the item from those. I don't know whether this is a good or bad idea - please advise - but I've done it because I couldn't figure out how to make the SelectedItem property only writeable by the manager, so I wanted to avoid having directly accessible objects that could have their SelectedItem property set to True without it deselecting all the other items in the same group. Of course that still leaves the possibility of setting a variable to one of the manager's list items and setting it from there, so I would still like to know how I could prevent that, if possible.
UPDATE: I didn't use the code above in the end, deciding instead to go with Cyborgx37's solution - which seems to work perfectly well for me despite the warnings about best practice. I also realised I would need to use the same class in another scenario where multiple items could be selected, so it was easy to add a Boolean property to the manager to enable that.

I have 2 radiobuttons as shown below:

When one of these is selected, I need to open a page in a new window with no menubar etc...
Is this possible in the code behind?
I tried this but it did not work (it just refreshed the page/updatepanel):

if i pressed the RadioButton .. ENGLISH.. only Teacher's which teach English will be displayed in the listbox and so on. there is in access table called TEACHER which has all these information. i used the following code for displaying the TEACHERS' name in listbox and it worked pefectly but what i want is displaying according to radiobutton checked.

Here's a problem: I've made an ActiveX control with VB.net (VS 2005) to use in a web application. The control has some properties and methods. The control loads fine in IE, calling methods works, but asking for a property with javascript is a problem.

The first time objTest.SomeProp returns 'Test' as it should. The second time is gives an error: 'Object doesn't support this property or method. After that, all methods and properties are 'unsupported'. Somehow this problem started after I implemented IObjectSafety interface in the control, but I have no idea how it affects the property and how to solve this problem.

I'm looping all the properties in an object via reflection:

how to determine whether the property in question is a generic List(Of T)? If it is I need to loop the list itself.
I've experimented with GetType and TypeOf but have not managed to get anything working.
To clarify, I want to keep this generic. I do not want to specify the type of T, I need to loop the list items and call the ToString method on each item. T could be one of a number of different types (application specific reference types). Is it possible to do this without specifying types?

I have a gridview that is only shown in a modal popup. right before I call the modal popup I set a value in a textbox. The gridview inside the modal popup depends on that textbox's value for it's data to show up at all. SO onclick I want to reload the gridview so that it will reload with the textbox's value.

I have a gridview in which I added some code for onclick in its RowdataBound event to allow the row to be clicked then go to another page.
I added a linkbutton in the last column which has the onclientclick to show a confirmation message whether to delete or not.
When I click the ok on the message, it performs my delete event. But when I click cancel, it goes to another page like what its supposed to do in the onclick.
What I am trying to do is this...
When I click the linkbutton cancel, it will perform the onclientclick to call a messagebox. If I choose cancel, I want it to not execute the onclick anymore.
I am using vb.net and asp.net in visual studio 2008. I am not sure whether this is the right forum or the asp.net.

I want to show a confirm dialog in my asp.net/VB.net application.
I'm adding programmatically the OnClientClick method in the Click event of a buton.
My code:

The dialog is displayed after the first postback of the site.
After I've made a postback, the dialog shows up on every click. But when I'm callin the page without a postback, no dialog shows up and the page does its postback.

Im trying to build a list of id's in a textbox. Which works fine in IE and Firefox but not in chrome.
The list that is created is using String.fromCharCode(20) to separate the values. (im using this as the values could be any character so I need to use non writable characters like this and 17)
What happens in Chrome is it seems to remove anything (and including) from the non writable character onwards so if I had
"432@5033"
where @ = the non writable character then it would output "423"
any ideas why chrome has this behaviour!

Stack Overflowers:I have been racking my brain trying to get an List(of T) type array to be the property of a class. I know there has to be a simple way of doing it and I can't find a good example on google. This is so the data in the class will be available program wide and for the application's lifetime. This Questions has properties QuestionID and QuestionAnswer. While iterating through this List of Question in foreach, I have to find .QuestionID = 12. If I find .QuestionID = 12 then I have to immediately assign a value to .QuestionAnswer = "SomeText" of .QuestionID = 14.
I don't want iterate again inside .QuestionId = 12' to find.QuestionID = 14` again.
Is there any way I can go directly to .QuestionID = 14 using LINQ?[code]...

I could be way off here, but it almost seems like ID.IDlist points to the address of mylist and so when mylist is cleared so is ID.Idlist. It seems as though the reason the second block of code works is because I am creating a new list in memory for each ID object and ID.IDlist just points to it... is that right?

In a list(of structure), i constantly have to modifiy the property of items using this code
