Line Number Textbox/Richtextbox?
Jun 30, 2010Well how can I get line numbers for a Textbox/Richtextbox? I also want it so when I click on a line number it will select that entire line?

How To Count Line Number In RichTextbox
Nov 2, 2011I use Fileystemwatcher to watch a certain folder on our network share and wan't to count the lines in a textbox. I have 2 richtextboxes, the first one will display the line number and the second one displays the change/deleted/renamed file. I am able to display the total of lines in a label, but also want to show the line numbers in a richtextbox, but the problem is that it adds the number to the current, it needs to add the number on a new line.

Parse - App - User Copy And Pastes From A Website Into A Richtextbox - Getting Name, Phone Number And That Last Value In The Line
Mar 9, 2012I'm working on an app in which the user copy and pastes from a website into a richtextbox then the program uses the phone number, name and "match by string" from the richtexbox. What is copied is like an Excel table type thing but all the data is in Column "A". The data isn't tab deliminated. If i split on spaces then that will give incorrect results since some of the pieces of data have spaces in them. It looks like I'm about to do some really nasty ugly coding to get to the values I need. take a look at this snippet of data and tell me of a graceful way of getting the name, phone number and that last value in the line if such coding exists? This is the info I would need to pickup on in the first row of data. SHEKITA LLOYD, (xxx) 956-80, and Non-Payment of premium.

Get Line Number And Column Number Of Textbox
Mar 2, 2012I'm doing a notepad project, just because, and in Ms's notepad there is an option for a statusstrip. I'm just having probems getting the line number and I know it's not called column number, more like selection start. When I do the selection start, it works, just not how I want it to like so:

but when I use that, it acts funny. I have it in my textbox's.keydown event. So if I were to use the arrow keys to navigate around text then it gets thrown off very easily. How would I do this?
VS 2010 - Textbox To RichTextBox With New Line On Click
Dec 17, 2010I'm trying to make a tool that supposed to do the following.
When I type i.e. the number 12345678 in TextBox1 and click on Button1. The number should go to RichTextBox1 on a new line with the text:
There Are 12345678 Bannana
Now, when I fill in at TextBox1 12345679 and click on Button1, a new line should be added to RichtextBox1, making it:
There Are 12345678 Bannana
There Are 12345679 Bannana
And so on...
What ever I try I cant get this to work,

When a line is biger than the size of the richtextbox, it wraps it. This create a big problem as I can not select the last line of the richtextbox (when a line is wrapped it becomes two lines). When I set wordwrap to off it works just fine
