Linking Multiple Forms - How To Program Response Radio Buttons
Nov 29, 2009
I have 1 project with about 7 forms. On each form I have 6 x 4 responses radio buttons (i.e. a multiple choice quiz). If the correct response is selected, the examinee gets 1 point, else 0. At the end of the quiz, the examinee can click a button that will add up all the correct responses & display the % correct. How do I program the button to do this given that data are on 7 different forms? [URL].
I'm trying to draw multiple radio buttons on my form. I've used this same logic to draw multiple text boxes and for some reason, this doesn't work.
For counter As Integer = 0 To rc - 1 'controller name Radio button and properties. Dim dynRadio As New RadioButton() Me.Controls.Add(dynRadio)
[code]....
I have validated that:
rc = 3 and the loop does iterate three times.The values that come back from the db are correct.xAxis and yAxis are placed properly and is the same increment as my text boxes.It's just not giving me three radio buttons for some reason. It only displays the first one.
Visual Basic 2008. Here is the code. I have a form where there is an exercise as follows: Dim varText as String = " Elephant, Cow, Snake, Horse " The question ask how many letters are in the word "Horse". The possible answer are 6 radio buttons with values of 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. What I need is how do I check that the correct radio button is selected.
Public Class frmConteo0al10Parte1 Private RightAnswer = New System.Media.SoundPlayer("c:WindowsMedia ada.wav") Private WrongAnswer = New System.Media.SoundPlayer("c:WindowsMediachord.wav") Private timeLeft As Integer Private Sub btnVolver_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnVolver.Click [Code] .....
I have a basic math test program, and 2 forms to allow the user to choose which function to test on.
The first form has a list of radio buttons with the 4 basic math functions and a button to load the next form.The second form contains this code on Load..
[Code]...
frmOptions has 4 radio buttons, addition is default chosen.After selecting one, the user clicks a button to open frmTest.The above code runs upon first load to change a label to reflect what was chosen on frmOption above.
On step 3, the label on frmTest that is supposed to be changed based on the Checked radio button from frmOption never changes. It doesn't even change on the first load of the form, so I think something is wrong with the Checked property of the radio buttons.
i want to create two type radio button one for sex(male/female) and another for marital status (married /un-married) how it possible. when i create four radio button for this two type of control,then i got only one type control of all radio button
I have a form with two group boxes. The first one has two radio buttons and the second has four. The user chooses one button from the first group box and one button from the second which gives me eight selections and I would like a different picture for each selection.
I am having 3 radio buttons and a button The codes should be added to the button_click event, when ever the radio button is selected and the button is click then, The codes should determine which button is selected and assign it to a variable. Create a two parallel 1-dim arrays and populate it with the data below:
Right now i have the following code. it is 4 radio buttons that if selected will display the price of a ticket.
There is a button called "repeat offender" that should take the price and double it. so me, being new to visual basic, were thinking of trying an if statement such as If it is selected decTicketTotal * 2
But this did not work. any help would be appreciated.. just trying to get the repeat offender selection working so when it calculates the price will double.
I am trying to create a simple paint program with radio buttons to change colors and size of the brush and draw within a panel on my form(VB 2008 Express).I cannot get the buttons to work. What do I need to put in the radion button event to change brush color and then also brush size? Following is the code I have so far, with nothing in the radio button events, because everything I try does not work.
Public Class PaintForm
Private shouldPaint As Boolean = False ' determines whether to paint
Private Sub Panel1_MouseDown(ByVal sender As System.Object, _[code]......
I have created a program that has 5 radio buttons and each button is named after a city. When clicking these buttons a picture of a landmark of that city comes up. However, I would like to enable my "clear" button.I have found a couple of examples such as;
Private Sub Clearbutton_click' Clear previous amounts from the form. Titletextbox.clear() Pricetextbox.clear() end sub
So is what I attempted to do is under my DetroitButton1 i did a
I have a Data Repeater in a Windows Form, within the data repeater I have a label and either a radio button or combo box, the amount of radio buttons and the text for them is brought in from my database as is the label and combo box.
The label is a question and the radio buttons or combo box allows the user to answer the question.
What I want to do is get the checked status of the radio buttons so I can then reveal the next question if it is needed. e.g. only show question 2 if question 1 is answered No.
trying to write a simple form for calculating professor's salaries depending on their degree and position.my problem is that the when i select a check box, the value is not being updated until i select a different radio button. it probably doesn't make much sense here,
Public Class frmMain Private Sub optLecturer_CheckedChanged(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles optLecturer.CheckedChanged[code]....
the values being assigned to my salary label are correct, but are not being updated until i select a new radio button. im not entirely sure how to get around this so that the value is updated as soon as i select the check box.here's when the program looks like:
I'm using a dialog form with two buttons and two Radio buttons.I'm oppening this Dialog when a button is clicked on the parent form.My situattion is when the Dialog opens the code in the button event continues to execute, but I only want it to continue to execute only after a button from the dialog form have been clicked
Private Sub btnSave_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnSave.Click If multipleEXT = 2 Then Extension.Show()
Ok so I have a launcher and I made my launcher a dialog box.On the dialog box there are 2 textbox and on my launcher there 2 buttons.So the "user" will put a link on the textbox and click save.now on my launcherwhen you click those buttons its will link you to what they putten on the TextBox.
My VB application is behaving strangley. I have form with fairly large number of controls. I am using case against radio buttons. after curtain number of buttons, it stops responding to more radio buttons.
Then I tried to split controls in to 2 form but now my form.showdialog() too now working properly. It takes new from names but show the old form when running.
I know how to use the default buttons item, but is there any way to achieve the style of multiline buttons (or maybe rather, "clickable text"?) like shown below?
The situation is that I have an interface for the user to select what kind of file he wishes to establish, and there has to be a brief description under the larger, main line of text.
I'm only planning to run this on Windows 7, so I don't need to worry about backwards compatibility with older versions of Windows
i was doing a fair amount of programming many years ago, like 10 it feels like, so I'm sorely not up to date on how my newly downloaded Visual Basic Express expects me to communicate with it.I am writing a program that pulls a cell from a database after the user has gone through several forms to determine which cells they want. When I write it like that, it doesn't sound very efficient, but I've designed it this way for usability.Here's where I have a problem: Should I store the path the user takes in a string, an array, what?
Here's an example:Someone wants baseball stats and trivia. They run my program, main form pops up, they select National League button, the NL Form pops up. Now the way my program is set up right now, is there are two ListBoxes on the form, one is populated, and as the user selects a Team from ListBox1, it jumps to ListBox2. Once they've selected all the teams they want info for, they click a button Next.
What I now need the program to do is show the next form "Team: name" once for each team, and insert the name of the team on the form in the appropriate label which I'll have blank. This form will also do the Listbox thing except the first listbox will populated with Topics like HR Stats, Pitching Stats, Coach History, etc.
im trying to add two radio buttons together to get a full price, they are split up by two group boxes. Meals and dormitories, I have the prices on how much they are, but I dont know how to put the right radio buttons in the right places and then add them up, here is the code I have so far
Public Class Form1 Const decRadioButtonmichigan As Decimal = 1500.0 ' this is suppose to go in the dormitories group box
I have a need to add 16 radio buttons to a groupbox but I want to be able to select 2 radiobuttons per groupbox. (2 vertical columns of 8 radio buttons each) The radiobuttons are created dynamically and each set of eight have different names to distinguish them. Do I really have to create 2 groupboxes and put each set of 8 in each groupbox and put those groupboxes into my parent groupbox? Is that it with radio buttons...if they are all in 1 groupbox then there is no way to select more than one at once?
I'm having issues with my current homework. I've got 6 different radio buttons and depending on which one is checked, the corresponding price shows up in the text box. I'm not sure if I need to create a sub-procedure or what. I can't seem to get anything to work.
[code]...
I've gotten this far with the code but not sure where to go next.
I've figured out how to run through the radio buttons and save their checked status to a text file. Now Im trying to recheck them according to the value. Here is what I have.[code]...
Is it possible to create a list of radio buttons similar to that of a checked listbox?And the list of radio buttons should be able to be managed like that of a CheckedListBox?
I have several textboxes in my form and a groubbox that have four radiobuttons. I want all the values of the textboxes (and the selection of the radiobuttons) to be stored in sql server. As far as the values of the textboxes in concerned, I managed to do it. But what about the selection of the radiobuttons??? This is the code I am using for the textboxes:
objConnection.Open() objDataAdapter.InsertCommand = New SqlCommand() objDataAdapter.InsertCommand.Connection = objConnection
What I have is a search program where people can enter in a person's policy number or first and last name and then chose which company to choose from. I have 7 radio buttons. Two are grouped in one groupbox the remaining 5 are grouped in a second groupbox. The two in the first groupbox are to chose whether to search by policy number or by firstname and last name. There are three text boxs. In the other group box is just radio buttons with list of companies to choose from with one radio button set to search through all companies. My problem is, how do I get my code to where I can choose to search by either policy number or by first name/last name and to then choose which company the person is with. Here is my code I have so far:
Private Sub Button4_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button4.Click Dim connetionString As String
Just finished this and figured I would share.. It just uses images, but works very well.. Have a couple work arounds in there so you can still bind it to a Class. Let me know what you think:
