Ticket Printing Via Crystal Reports (.NET) With Epson LX-300+?
Nov 24, 2010I have some problems in printing ticket by dot matrix printer.I have EPSON LX-300+ I am using VB.NET 2008 and Crystal Reports I am using rpt.PrintToPrinter(1, False, 1, 1) method to print?My problem is when I print my ticket, the alignment is perfect but the printer eject the latter size of ticket papers. It should stop after one ticket.ticket size Height=4,width=10 paper setup in Crystal Reports and in printer property is envelop #10 9 1/2 * 4 1/8 in.

Nov 27, 2008I have a user entering records into an Oracle db. Now I want the user to be able to specify a type of tag which is stored in the db, specify a printer, the number of copies they want and it prints it for them.
I'm automatically setting the default printer to a lexmark printer using an Epson driver(Since this us what I'm testing on). I've been able to print one tag so far. If the user specifies that they want 50 tags of a type then the system should print 4 tags parrallel to each other until it reaches 50. Then it moves on to the next batch of tags specified.

Jul 5, 2009am facing a problem while am printing from Visual Basic 2005 to one Epson LQ680 Printer (Dotmatrix). every time am printing lines are not coming at the proper place and keeps on moving up or down randomly paper size is not A4 it is 8.5 Inch Width, 12 Inch Height
some times it is printing fine, but after priting 2 or 3 invoices again it is moving every line 1 cm down...etc it moving up and down only left and right ok it is out of my control With PrintDocument1.DefaultPageSettings

May 9, 2012I am wrinting a program which takes customers details and their order details, each order line is added to a DGV and eventually saved to a MDB, a Crystal Report Viewer than queries the information back and displays it in the format I setup in the report i created, then this is printed via the Epson TM T88(from III to V). The thing is this is printing very slowly (line by line) compared to our EPOS software which prints as a thermal printer should.This is how i call the report parameters and print the report:

This one is been really challenging since i'm a newbie when it comes to visual basic.I'm i'm having trouble getting the calculate button to Here are the instruction to get the costs from the functions and use them to calculate the total.
1.)User selects whether to purchase season tickets or single-game tickets
2.) User enters the number of tickets needed and the type of seats based on whether they selected season single-game tickets.
3.) User clicks the Compute Ticket Cost Button to display final cost
4.) User clicks the Clear Form button to clear the response
I'm stuck on the calculating button. I just need to be able to capture the cost from the button and then use the button to compute it.

Jan 29, 2009I have a combo box, I have entered in 6 different world wide destinations for example:London, Paris, New York etc The program is for booking plane tickets, at the moment the user has to input the cost of the journey manually into a textbox and then depending on the number of tickets requested will calculate the cost.

Things works fine and i can get the username display in label.However,I need to get more user data like UserName, Fullname and RoleCode. Also, i would to display the user's fullname to instead of usename in welcome message. I was told this can be done using FormsAuthenticationTicket method to store addictional user data in the "my user data" section. Do i need to create a user data class to store the user data and then use it in the FormAuthenticationTicket? If yes, how should i do it?

Aug 9, 2010I'm trying to create a typical Housie/Bingo Game ticket in Asp.net 2.0 (VB). But, not being succeeded. Ticket contains 3 row with 9 columns. Total 27 blocks, and it must be only 15 should be fill outta those 27. and each column contains value like 1st column should be between 1-10 and 2nd must have random values between 11-20.. It doesn't matter how many blocks filled in each column.. 1 is must, no single column should be blank, all 9 columns must be filled, some have all 3 blocks filled, some have 1 with total of 15 blocks filled in whole ticket. with random numbers..

There is a button called "repeat offender" that should take the price and double it. so me, being new to visual basic, were thinking of trying an if statement such as If it is selected decTicketTotal * 2
But this did not work. any help would be appreciated.. just trying to get the repeat offender selection working so when it calculates the price will double.

Apr 8, 2011I have been able to do the exercise's in the first 2 chapters and half the exercise's in the third chapter of the text book (programming in visual basic 2008, Julia Case Bradley & Anita C. Millspaugh). but this one is making my head want to explode. please point me in the right direction with this.
Heres the problem. The company has instituted a bonus program to give its employees an incentive to sell more. For every dollar the store makes in a four-week period, the employees receive 2 percent of sales. The amount of bonus each employee receives is based upon the percentage of hours he or she worked during the bonus period (a total of 160 hours). The Calculate button will determine the bonus earned by this employee, and the Clear button will clear only the name, hours-worked, and bonus amount fields. A Print button allows the user to print the form. Do not allow missing or bad input data to cancel the program; instead display a message to the user.

Dec 14, 2011My instructor told us how to print documents and how to use databases. What the instructor did not mention is how to print or print a preview of records within a DatabaseDataSet. The book "Programming in Visual Basic 2010" does not explain how to print or do a print preview of Database Source records from within a form. The only thing I was told was to test the print document first before you try to do a print preview. Within a form I used a DataGridView to add, delete, and update the database. So now all I need to do is figure out how to print the updated records from the DataGridView and how to print a preview of the records within the DataGridView. So I hope my question is clear enough to give me assistance on how I can perform these two actions. Thanks this would be a great help, and since the class is online we can get assistance from any sources that we have.
