I am working on a Visual Basics (6) project that requires a hidden command prompt window, to which I need to pass commands.
I need to:Open a hidden command prompt
CD to a directory
pass a command including several file names

I am making a program which will read data from csv and pick up Username & Computer name from the csv.
Then it will run commands via telnet with those username and computer on line at a time. I have reached this goal without any problem. I wanted to paste the code here but its too much.
Basically what i now want to do is have a option for user to skip a command.
Like if csv have 3 users in it. i.e.
j.doe, comp1
t.test, comp2
u.user, comp3
Popup will come and say do you want to run the command "add user j.doe, comp1" something and you will have option to say Yes, No , Cancel.
Where yes will run the command and no will skip that user (go to next one) and cancel will end the whole process.
I know Msgbox yes,no is there but i dont know how to skip that user.

I am creating an application to configure some modems through the serial port. I have no problem sending a single string of data to the serial port and displaying the immediate response to a rich text box. I have 2 problems
1st: how to update the rich text box for any delayed response from the modem
2nd: how to react to the response from the modem, in other words I want to send the next command based on the response from the modem witch is usually "OK"

I can set both of them, but when I close or hide the form and go back to the main user control form, the values for these properties or variables are not set. I have code, shown below, that works all except for 1 thing: The variables being passed byRef get passed, but once modified in the else section of the "if me.invokerequired" code of RecordData, the variables are never updated in the calling function. To reiterate, the calling function does not receive the updated data that is in the variables custid and amt.When debugging, I see the data change in the else section of "if me.invokerequired", but once it returns from the callback the data is missing.[code]

"&Goto Here" is not underlining the G until I press the ALT key.Is there a way to have this underline the text that I put an ampersand in front of when the form/application starts instead of having to have the user press the alt key?

The control lets you filter your info. I have a Select all button that works, the only problem is that if you filter the data and press the select button it selects all the rows, not only the ones that are actually shown on the grid, and I need only the shown ones.

Followed Rob's webcast, did as he did, watched T4 generate the code, went to use the new namespace and oh. No namespace. I can see the namespace Test.Data in each of the generated .cs files, the tt files are included in the project as is subsonic.dll, there are no errors (I managed to get rid of a warning for the duplicate directives) but I just can't see the namespace. To test it out I am building a simple vb.net console application so wondering if there is a conflict there. Using v2.2 against the same db works fine.
