DB Reporting - Post The Result Of A Query In A Textbox
Apr 8, 2009I would like to post the result of a query in a textbox. [Code] Suppose this is my table, then I would like to post the sum from aantal from in a textbox. For UserID 1 it would be 35, for UserID it would be 35, [Code] but how do I get the result in my textbox?

Mar 15, 2012is there any way i can do this? As normally you can use a BB code on the post. But when using POST string it says error. i'm not sure if its because of the characters in the URL which are giving it an error but i've added in front of " etc [URL ="http://url"]LINK[/URL] is the BB Code, how can i make this work please? as i'm currently using this in a text box then postings it.

Parameterized Query : Works With Execute Query But Not In Code?
Oct 22, 2009I have created a parameterized query in my tableadapter. Here is the SQL:
SELECT CalcinerID, Comments, CorrectiveActions, CrucibleOxideWt, CrucibleWeight, DCPressure, DCTemperature,
Date, DischargePressure, FeedPressure, FiredCrucibleOxideWt, GmSampleWt, LIMSNumber, LotNumber, MaterialType,
OperatorID, QualLabOperator, QualLabTimeStamp, RecordID, ToteBinNumber [code]....
When I use the Execute Query button in the Tableadapter Query Builder, the query works fine; I get all the rows I expect. However, when I run this in my code, the query behaves like an equality statement (i.e. Lotnumber = @Lotnumber) rather than a LIKE statement (Lotnumber LIKE '%' + @Lotnumber + '%').Here is the code that is not behaving correctly. Note that I have a textbox, LotSearchTextbox, where I enter the portion of the Lotnumber that I want to use as the filter. I also have a button, LotSearchButton:

I'm loading the Add dialog via jQuery like so:

This is failing because it's calling the Post method (where "covered" can't be empty) instead of the Get. I tried decorating the Get with <AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Get)>, but it doesn't change the outcome.how do I get it to use the Get? I realize I could change the names to not be ambiguous, but I want to know why it won't pick the Get if I'm only passing "bpid".

Jun 16, 2009I've written the code to post the information to a page, however I don't know how to make the post target the iframe I've placed on the page. (I haven't tested this code so I'm not sure if the post even works)

That is what I have written to post to the website, however I would like the post to affect an iframe which I have placed on the page. I know when you're writing html you can have a target specified in the form tag

But I wasn't sure if there is one similar to target that I can specify from VB code.Just a note: I am trying to do a post from a ASP.NET page to a PHP page that is contained in an iframe.

Jun 5, 2011i'm working on a voting system but im having problems in adding records... i have two a primary key, the idnumber and the address. the address is where I base if that certain address already voted. but the problem is everytime i try to add a record with the same address (ex. Block 1 lot 4), the data is duplicated which is not output i want. the program should detect that there is already an existing address.

The XLSNombre is a variable with the name of the excel file that has been set before. The connection I have in .NET is to SQL server (but is the same). How can I use this code (or..how can I make this code work for .NET) or what is the equivalent of this for .NET? I found some solutions but with inserts of single rows or I have to set the title of the columns, I dont find any "simple" solution to do an "insert into" (like the code I use in VB6).

Dec 10, 2009I'm trying to get a query string from a shared function in a code-behind model using VB.NET. You have to use HttpContext.Current.Request.QueryString("Query") in order to get it from a shared function, however doing HttpContext.Current.Request.QueryString.Count gives back 0, which obviously isn't right in my case as there's many that exist. Is there some sort of issue with using this static call from a shared function?

VS2008 Query - Modify Code To Search For Items Containing Specified Characters

The above query works and returns values on first names that begin with whatever item I type in a text box.
How can I modify that code to search for items containing specified characters instead of just searching for items that begin with the specified characters. I would still need to use a wildcard because it is a search field. see below for an example
For example can I query the FirstName column to display people who's name contain the letters "an" in that order a before n but anywhere within the word e.g.

- Jane
- Samantha

Jan 17, 2012I want to find the "select" query in the code behind of a button in a winform LogOn form.I have the source code of one big solution which includes 15 projects. There's 1 project with all the UI that I can run and start my debugging. During the debug process, I click log on button there's a line of code where I want to step through which it's calling a diffrent project in the same solution to validate the username and password. But it doesn't allow me to step into that project to validate the data. It just goes right through it and the username and password pass validation right after that line of code.

Sep 21, 2010I came to a company that already has a fully grown project... but coders that worked here before me didn't follow conventions and didn't use parametrized SQL queries... as a result there is over 1000 places in a very huge project that can possibly be vulnerable to SQL injection...
I need to find a solution that will automatically detect if there is an SQL injection in the code. So, for example there is a form which allows user to enter comments regarding a product, which will be sent to database on submit... how can we make sure that a user didn't enter a harmfull query instead of a normal text?
Is there any advanced code/regular expression/magic that can detect if this text contains a piece of SQL query instead of normal harmless text? I will accept any links, pieces of code in any language or even commercial software that will do that for me.
