I have 202 .html files and at the beginning of each file, I need to add a chunk of php code. I could make this myself, but to be honest, it would take me forever and I might as well just manually edit them lol. All the .html files are in one folder.[code] one other thing that would be VERY cool, is if it could add the files that are not edited to a listbox or an outputted text file.

View 2 RepliesI currently have a program that I made which opens other apps packaged with an installer. I have set the installer to install everything to the Program Files folder. However, not all computers have a C: hard drive. I have a way in which they can enter their drive letter in one form then in the next form it remembers the drive and will take them to the program. The problem is my program stores the drive letter in an xml file. On the startup of the program it looks in the xml file to find the drive letter, if there is no drive letter the form opens then lets the user set his drive letter. I am tying to use AES to encrypt them but the problem is that the decryption takes to long.I was hoping that the loading time from the hard disk of the encrypted file was far longer than the process of decryption of an image for example but i was wrong
So if i try to 1) load the image 2)decrypt it and 3)load it in a image control it takes 15 times more time that loading the original file not encrypted
I want to create my special full-text index using text files, without database.I saved records ids for every word in index, in text file..Now if I want to search for tow words together; I have to get ids that is shared between these words by comparing text files of these words ids; and saving the result in other text file.[code]But now the problem if the first word has 100,000 ids and also the second word same it; the loop will take too long time! And placed it into a module, which I then wen't to my main program and attempted to place this:

To attempt to retrieve the data, but I get no error or information from it. The ini file is inside the folder of the project and I set the SectionName and KeyValue to the corresponding names. I think I am having trouble with syntax? Not 100% sure. This is the code that I got from the same source as the module for using the module.

I have a program that is getting pretty big and it is a pain to find everything through all the functions and classes. I am trying to break it up into other files based on their method. Some of these functions have calls to others in the main class. I changed most my functions from private to public to access this. I had problems calling certain code created windows so importing mainwindow helped that. My last problem is editing the mainwindow ui from one of the module files. I want to make sure im on the right page before i continue breaking it up. My only guess is that anything they updates the ui should be left on the main class.

I have searched through the options and can't find anything that fixes this. If I go to the end of the "Dim foo" line and hit it will indent. If I fix the indentation, the next line will do the same thing.
I am writing an application for editing pdf files with this library: [URL]. The problem is that I had to format pc because a trojan and since that moment every time I try to continue my project I can't use the library. The code its the same as it was before formatting, but when I compile the code and the application runs I get an exception every time I try to use a library function.

I'm using visual studio 2008 .net FW 3.5

I'm using a W7 64bit environment (before formating was W7 32bits, but I tried to use a 32bits OS and the problem remains). I've already registered the 2 COM components (Img2PdfAPI.dll and pdprep32.dll)

View 2 RepliesI have a program that speaks wave files. This works problemless with the Soundplayer class with the following code:

The soundplayer does however not seem to have a method to play the wave from position StartPos to position EndPos and achieving just that would mean quite a reduction in downloads of these files.
The soundplayer does have a stream object, and that does have a seek method, suggesting that there might be a way to accomplish this, but how?
I plan to include other media files as I am developping the project, and I guess I will be confronted with the same problem.

To programming and have a question with sound files. I am trying to figure out the basics and here is what I did: I created a button that is supposed to play a sound.

When I click this button in my .exe file it obviously plays because I am using the computer with the above location for the .wav file. When I use the .exe on another computer it doesn't play because it does not recognize that .wav location. How do I make this work for me? Do I need to embed the .wav with my .exe somehow?
I just switched to Win7 Ultimate edition 64bit and now the beep functionality via internal speaker (system speaker on motherboard) does not work anymore.The reason is described here (basically M$ trying to clean up their code):url...I used "Console.Beep(a,b)" to notify me that a process has ended.Any ideas how to send some kind of acoustic signal through the internal speaker (any loud noise would do for my purposes).

Each textbox can be changed and there is a nice scroll bar at the bottom to move left and right as you enter each datapoint.
I tried using multiple tabs within a Panel and setting the Appearance to FlatButtons, but the text area under each tab gets covered when you select another tab.

View 2 RepliesEDIT: Solved (see comments) I have a For loop inside a sub, and right below it I have a MessageBox function. Everything compiles correctly, however for some reason, if the loop executes and exits successfully, anything outside and below the For doesn't get executed.

Have to develop an application that will let me choose between cell phone plans, individual and family plans i have the forms and all choices done,. new forms open and old ones hide to keep it clean. i think i got all the variables declared, and got no debugging errors, but when i select the options, it always gives me the following:
1. adds one more phone than selected
2. only shows phone subtotal, tax and total
3. prices for options and monthly fees never show
