Remove Extra VbCrlf In RichTextBox String?

I have a program that uses a richTextBox to append and save file locations. Each line in RichTextBox1.Lines is added to a listbox for the user to see the files. The format of the richtextbox output is shown below:
C:UsersJordanDownloadsfile.ext
C:UsersJordanDownloadsfile2.ext
C:UsersJordanDownloadsfile3.ext
I have a button on the form which can remove an individual file from the ListBox with the code shown below. The problem I am having though is that the RichTextBox text is ending up formating like shown below. If I remove the C:UsersJordanDownloadsfile.ext for example, the RichTextBox text will show as:
<vbCrlf>
C:UsersJordanDownloadsfile2.ext
C:UsersJordanDownloadsfile3.ext

I have a HTML code in my RichTextBox:

<i>
Text
</i></b>
I use this code to search a text between two tags, example <b>,</b>.
StartCode = InStr(1, MyString, "<b>")
EndCode = InStr(1, MyString, "</b>") - 3
RichTextBox1.Text = (Mid(MyString, StartCode, EndCode - StartCode))
Now i want use that:
StartCode = InStr(1, MyString, "<b> ???NewLine??? </i>")
EndCode = InStr(1, MyString, "</i></b>") - 3
RichTextBox1.Text = (Mid(MyString, StartCode, EndCode - StartCode))
Now instead of ?NewLine? what should I enter?

I have some code that splits a session into strings by a -
My session looks something like this 123-456-789- and I split it like this
Dim MyString As String() = Session("MySession").Split("-"C)
And i've got a some code like this
Dim x as Integer
For x = 0 to MyString - 1
Response.write("Ref: " & MyString(x) & "<br>")
Next
This writes the code like this
Ref: 123
Ref: 456
Ref: 789
Ref:
So it's adding an extra Ref where it shouldn't be because there is no data after the last -
Is there a way to stop this adding in the extra one?

i have a small program to run through a log file and extract data from it which works, but the array it puts out has a blank value before and after the actual data values, and it confuses me why that happens, i dont really understand why and was hoping someone here knew! the parts of the code related are below
Dim rgxSessionStart As New Regex("^Session Start: [A-Z][a-z][a-z] ([A-Z][a-z][a-z]) (dd) dd:dd:dd (dddd)")
Dim substrings() As String
substrings = rgxSessionStart.Split(LineIn)
a sample line that it would match is Session Start: Sun Aug 22 00:00:00 2010 which WORKS, but the values of the array are "","Aug","22","2010","". so its not a critical problem because i can still get the data from it, but those blank values are puzzling and i feel like maybe im doing something wrong with the syntax or method for them to be there.

I am currently stuck on trying to collect some string items from a richtextbox and then count how many items there are. I have the [B] [I] [U] buttons and they work to a point but here is the problem I'm having.In MS Word,I can Hilight text and select Bold and it bolds the text, I can then select Italic and while leaving it bold, it Italicizes it.I can then click the bold button again and it will remove the bold but leave the selected text Italicized. I can't figure out how to get this action to work.I know I can OR the styles to apply multiple styles to the text but I don't know how to remove a style while maintaining any others applied.Here's a section of code that I'm messing with.[code]....btw, I am using for the comments so that the code is easier to read.I have tried (in this specific segment) newFontStyle = currentFont.Style And Not FontStyle.Bold

I use Environment.NewLine, my colleagues use vbCrLf.When I'm doing a code review for them I want something that I can point to to say "use Environment.NewLine instead of vbCrLf"

I've seen this type of line in many post on here..I been rolling this over in my head and i think that this line or something close to it is a bad idea. For index As Integer = ListView1.Items.Count -1 the above line assumes that on the last line the person has hit the enter button which is VBCrLf(carriage return and Line Feed) in which case the above line would be ok..however if the last line does not contain a CrLf then you in effect are skipping the last line.
