I using vb6.0.I want to load a image into a picture box and resize it in runtime through mouse.Image type is jpg or png.my logic is,
1. load image[jpg or png ] into picture box and draw a rectangle using rectangle API, according to image size.
2. resize rectangle through mouse and according to the size of rectangle change size of image.

View 4 RepliesI'm currently debugging a form that sets a flag when the mouse button is pressed, then clears the flag when the mouse button is released. As long as the mouse button is pressed, the user can move the mouse around and a few things happen depending on where they move. One of the things that happens is that a timer starts, or stops, and a few things change color depending on the mouse position. The timer starts when it should, then stops when it should, but once stopped, it is not re-starting when it should. I can verify that MouseMove events are getting through, because coloring changes as I move the mouse, as it should. This would be a simple thing to debug...except that it requires the darn mouse button to be down, and it uses the mouse move event. Anybody who has put a breakpoint in a mouse move event handler knows the issue: There are THOUSANDS of them. Worse yet, since the mouse button is necessary for switching to the IDE, as well as setting a breakpoint (technically, a keyboard shortcut could do this if I could shift focus), I can't wait for the problem to happen, then switch to the IDE and set a breakpoint to see what is happening then.Does anybody have any tips or techniques for debugging in mouse move events when the mouse button is down and has to stay that way? As it is, I'm going to have to write some funky code into the method just so that I have a place to get a breakpoint when I need it without breaking on every one of the mouse move events.

If I put code in timer (which it is now), the mouse will keep searching for the color, so the mouse moves around like crazy. I draw small 4x4 rectangles on the canvas for the number of points in my list.. say theres 4 points.. theres 4 rectangles.

I would like to move the rectangle to the right by 1 pixel each time the timer1_tick is started. At the same time, I would like to clear out the previous boxes after making a new one. This is to make the box looks as if it is moving to the right.
I am working on a graphics application. If there were, for example, 3 rectangles in the picturebox. If you were to right click one of them a contextmenu would pop up. In the context menu you are able to click a button called Fill. When you click fill the selected rectangle gets filled in with the colour white. The rectangles are drawn by the user.

I have made a transparant picturebox and when clicked he shows a small picture of a lamp indicating the light is on.The form should be full screen.The problem is: When the form is used on different monitors with different resolutio settings, or when the form is resized, the pictures are on another (wrong) part of the picture. that the pictureboxes stay on the correct position related t the background?
I do not use another big picturebox in the background while the transparacy will not work.
The end user should be able to move and resize the image in picturebox in the same way as I do in my Form1.vb. (Design) *.
View 3 RepliesIs there any way in c# or VB to automatically move the controls in a panel when the window is resized. I do not want the Anchor property, which only resizes the control. THe use is that controls are added at runtime to the form, and when the locations/values are loaded on a computer with a larger monitor, they are in the incorrect positions.

Does anyone know if it is possible to resize an imagelist/listview image without repopulating the image list? I am using scroll bar to change the image size from 25 point to 256 point. When I leave the scroll bar the imagelist repopulates from the files list. This can be very slow when working with high resolution pictures. I don't want to limit the image size to 2 sizes by using large and small imagelist.

When hover over sizing handles or form edge, cursor changes to double headed area but nothing moves. I can drag controls with mouse onto form. View 3 RepliesI would like to resize a panel at runtime using a mouse.I only need Vertical resizing.So, I have panel1 and docked a label to the bottom of the panel, this will be the drag bar.Now I'm thinking I need to use the mousedown event and capture the Y coordinates of the mouse? On Mouse up set my panel height to those new coordinates?Also, I'm pretty sure my panel won't redraw itself when this is going on. Should I set the panel height while I'm dragging?
