VS 2005 : Resize A Panel At Runtime Using A Mouse?

I would like to resize a panel at runtime using a mouse.I only need Vertical resizing.So, I have panel1 and docked a label to the bottom of the panel, this will be the drag bar.Now I'm thinking I need to use the mousedown event and capture the Y coordinates of the mouse? On Mouse up set my panel height to those new coordinates?Also, I'm pretty sure my panel won't redraw itself when this is going on. Should I set the panel height while I'm dragging?

I had a project which will have a function to resize the images in the picturebox..i've seen some code snippet in resizing the images. The code works fine but it automatically resizes the image when i run the program..what i need is that the user will be the one who will resize the pictures..does anyone knows how to do this? i'm using vb 2008.

Focus and Resize the Control at Runtime I want to focus and re-size the controls like text box or label at run time using keyboard and as well as mouse. I have attached the image that has control and it is focused and it could be re-size. In that image,background it has grids. I need that kind of grids in my form. From this position of control, I need to convert it to .txt format and print it to the pre-formatted paper.
So i need 4 requirements,
1. Focus and Re-size the controls
2. Grids control (not a data grid view)
3. Data's convert it to .txt format
4. Data's Print to pre formatted paper.

Is it possible to resize a form automatically when a panel is made visible or invisible? Is it required to have the panels directly on the form? I am trying to do this with some panels within panels and having quite the problem.

I need for a user to be able to resize a panel using at least one corner at runtime. I did this by making a panel and placing a small picturebox in the bottom left corner. I'm only testing it, so I just gave both the picturebox and panel black borders so I could test my code. Here's what I came up with:

I have a panel that has 8 buttons located on it each named But1,But2,ect. What I am trying to figure out how to do is resize all of the buttons in width when the panel is resized in width. [Code] Is there something simpler to do this as I will eventually have 3 panels with 8 buttons on each one that would need to be resized at the same time. In VB this was controlled by an index and a for next loop, but I see no way to create a control array for all the buttons when they are on separate panels.

Visual Studio 2010 Windows Applications Visual Basic-- not able to resize or move controls or form with my mouse in designer window. When hover over sizing handles or form edge, cursor changes to double headed area but nothing moves. I can drag controls with mouse onto form. I successfully resized by pressing shift key and using keyboard arrow keys. I am using Toshiba Satellite L665D, Window 7 64x.

I am staring on the programming world using VB 2008 express edition, mi project is data acquisition software which today is almost ready to go, but I want to add an extra ornament to the digital value display.I am using textcontrol to display numeric values, and the fixture that I would like to add is to be able to resize the control in run mode using the mouse left click hold down on the edge of the control and just move the mouse and the control expand or shrinks, as the same action as when we want to resize any form.

It appears that that only the top property is passed to the subroutine, that is, rowcount and the others appear to have a value of zero. Using ByRef makes no difference.

I have a Form1 where i can add usercontrols during runtime. I draw their appereance in the OnPaint event using the GDI+ engine. The greate part is that i want to be able to resize these images during runtime wich goes pretty well now cause i draw points in percentage of the control. Unfortunetly it is very difficult to draw nice images/drawings ect with the GDI+ engine. Is there any other way in doing this?

I am trying to make a panel move with the mouse.
Just like the iPhone where you press down and move your finger up or down and the items on the page move.
I am tring to do the same type of affect with the mouse and a panel.

I currently use this code to move a control I have created (JobBox) around a form with the mouse.[code]...
I had thought I could use the MouseDown eent to take the control out of the panel and make it belong to the form and then check on the MouseUp event that the location of the control is within one of the other panels.

I start the Timer when is mouse down and I stop it when is mouse up, but when stop and start again formlaction is 0 again. And I can make it work. Label1 is just to see how many PX the mouse is moving. The buttons are just to see the movement of the panel.
