How do I upload the client's image file and display it in the web form's image control?How do I save it to the sqlserver? The image table is already set up with a "Image" data type column. Can the image be saved to the database as simply as other data types?
I try to add text strings to an image but keep the metadata of the original image. The problem is How can I save ImgMetaData (from the original image) to the new image?

View 3 RepliesI'm a VB beginner.I've been playing with Graphics.DrawString by watermarking a picture with a text string. The picture below to the left comes from PictureBox with a text string drawn with Graphics.DrawString. The font style used is Arial 48 points, regular, I think. The picture in PictureBox shows just as I configure. Great... The resolution of the original Terri Hatcher picture is 300 dpi (300 x 300). Exporting this picture with Graphics.DrawString, I get the picture below to the right. The text string appears a lot bigger than previously shown in PictureBox. It turns out that the text size varies, depending on the resolution of the original picture. That's kind of odd. I develop several graphics applications in a different environment and have never seen this sort of graphics.drawstring thing. Anyway,
my sample application seems to draw a text string at an image resolution of

I want to save all my emails into a PDF format. The file must contains which look similar to the Outlook Reading Pane into Outlook 2010.
Is there a programming way to to this (cause hundreds of emails) ?
I am using the following code to send an email through Outlook, but I want the email to be saved in a predefined directory. Under the Sent Items folder I have a sub folder called "Simon". What I want is when the email is sent for the email to be saved here.I have tried using the following code, but it appears that it does not use string values to specify the folder location but a value. I am unable to determine what value the "Sent Items\Simon" folder is.
MailFolder = tempNS.GetDefaultFolder(Outlook.OlDefaultFolders.olFolderSentMail & "\Simon")
Dim tempNS As Outlook.NameSpace
Dim MailFolder As Outlook.MAPIFolder

I already have the setting in Outlook to prevent automatic downloading of images but I still receive e-mail junk mail containing stationary. There is even a setting that prevents all images but that is the problem: It does it to ALL images.I would like to trap and move all messages with any kind of image in it and send it to a junk-mail folder. Someone told me that I might do it with a plug-in or an add-on and that it might be able to do this in VB.
View 5 RepliesI'm trying to take the image of a picturebox and email it, but instead of an attachment, I need to "reference" that image as part of the html, such as:img src=" & myPictureBox.Image & "></img>
oviously that doesn't work, but that kind of what I'm going for. what do I need to do in able to reference that image? there may possible be a LOT of images being sent in one email, so saving these images to disk first or something doesn't seem like a viable solution. The size of the images won't change either, what you see in the picturebox is what you should see in the email (they're smaller thumbnail size images)
I have an email function that needs to embed images into the email. I get the mailinto my pickup but the mail still asks me to "Show Images/Download Images". Some howthe images are not being properly embedded.I'm not sure what needs to be changed the examples I find on a lot of sites is very basic and vague.Additional info for clarity: This function will either download the images via url or embed them. This is determinedvia an external xml parameter. The physical path for the images, which replaces the URLs, is also in the xml.

View 5 RepliesI'm looking for a .Net PDF Viewer tool that will accept the barcode font as well as allow the user to save, email, and print the PDF. I tried the tool by SkySof, but it doesn't handle barcodes. We're having trouble using the COM PDF control because of other stuff that needs to be installed on our servers. Our customer would prefer that the tool be under $1000. We're using Visual Studio 2008 and this is a windows application being served up by Citrix.

I work for a company where we send a number of standard emails to potential clients asking them to contribute to our magazine . if no response we then send a number of follow up emails. each and every time I send a new email to a new prospect I'm editing one of our template emails, putting their name and email address into outlook and manually sending emails. Then for every reminder I'm going back into outlook, clicking reply all and then c&p'ing our second or third reminder emails in each and every time. needless to say at least 2-3 hours of my day are spent editing and resending the same emails on outlook.
