Scrolling A Listbox With Button
Feb 4, 2009My listbox has 19 lines, Is there a way to scroll down and show line 20-39 when I click a button? My application is designed for a touch screen so it is impracticle to use the scrollbar.

ListBox Scrolling - Set A Listbox That Starts To Scroll In Middle Point Of List
Mar 14, 2012I am using Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition and I am trying to set a listbox so it starts to scroll when it hits the middle point of what is viewable on my list. I also want to set it so the list is always visible so you when you reach the bottom of the list you can scroll down to the bottom but if you scroll back up once it reaches that middle point it will start to scroll up again.

But unfortunately the touch screen accepts every touch as double click. Hence the user can not use the scroll bar for scrolling. Is there any way to make scrolling a button event?

Aug 5, 2011After scouring the articles online I have come up with this design for a winforms based touchscreen app that needs smartphone like scrolling. The app itself will run on a tablet laptop or touchscreen desktop.I put everything I want to scroll on a panel. Set autoscroll to true (which will show scrollbars)Now put this whole panel inside a groupbox.Shrink the groupbox until the scrollbars are hidden (visually hidden, not visible = false)
Now the fun part I am stuck at.I think I have to handle the mousedown, mouseup & mousemove on the panel to set the autoscrollposition so that when someone touches the panel and drags, it does it's scroll magic. Please help fill in the few lines of code in below method stubs. The msdn doc on autoscrollposition is very confusing since it returns negative numbers but needs to be set to positive with abs and what not.

Sort WPF ListBox On Button Click?
Apr 11, 2009Right, I'm trying to sort a WPF listbox when a button is clicked, preferrably in pure xaml (otherwise VB). I'm having a hard time seeing as most samples are written in C#. Here's my code:

I am using Visual studio 2008, and I cannot get the listbox to generate the lists, nor can I get the calculate button to do work. I click it, nothing happens. BTW this is coded the way the instructor directed in the audio cast that was published for the class.

It works fine when an item is manually selected, but I want forward and back buttons that will do this. It works once but it doesn't highlight the new item in the listbox, so it gets stuck. VS 2010 Getting A Button To Read From Xml File Or Listbox?
Nov 29, 2011I'm trying to get a random line of text to appear in a messagebox upon button click, I want the listbox to be closed while the action is to be performed.
I can do it when the listbox is open but not when closed, here is what happens if I try to do it when it's closed
and the message "InvalidArgument=Value of '0' is not valid for 'SelectedIndex'."
I tried reading it straight from the .xml file the data is stored on, but that didn't go so well either.
