Searching A String For Specific Values?

I have a program which grabs the source code of a webpage and puts it into a string. I would now like to search the string for two values.
"video_id": "value 1 here"
"t": "value 2 here"
The problem, is that I don't know the position of the values, and I the values change depending on each webpage. All I know, is the text before the value, e.g. "video_id" and "t:"
Here is my code:

I need to accum some data based on whether or not an SSN number appears in the data. I have it in a string, what I need to do is search for a numeric pattern within the string such as:I looked into regex a bit, but I don't have much time to read deep into it (my company needs the program this week) and it seems too complex to grasp in such a short time. What I've came across so far is:
If (rec.address1 Like "###-##-####")
but I don't know if this will filter it out of the string (it can appear with an address attached to it).

There's an INI file that I want to access and read information from. This is the complete content of the INI file in question: http:[url]....I believe it is because of the [ ] tags in that INI file. Because they work if I remove the tags.My program has a bunch of comboboxes, trackbars and checkboxes. These items will be filled by the information taken from the INI file.For instance, ini file has these lines;
bCrosshairEnabled=1
bDoDepthOfField=0
bFXAAEnabled=1[code]...
Example: I want the checkbox8 in my form to get checked if bFXAAEnabled has a value of 1 or unchecked if it is 0.

I have to scan through documents. Excell, Word, txt, ect looking for company names that match a pre-difined list of companies.I then email the companies some specifics in regards to that doc.The problem I have been having recently is that the list of companies keeps growing and I am starting to miss some more than I used to.What I would like to build is a tiny app that has 2 Text boxes.1 on the left for input (where I would copy/paste) the document text I receive.and one on the right for the output where it will highlight any line that contains the name of any of the pre-defined companies.
I started toying with the idea and so far I have form with a SplitContainer. Within that SplitContainer each side has a TextBox... Below the Textbox on the left hand side splitcontainer I have a submit button with no actions currently assigned to it.

I am having a string in CSV format.http:[code].....I can add new values to it by some mechanism. Everything will be same except the new values will have numeric part = 0. Take example I have this exsiting CSV string
1 , abc.txt , 2 , def.doc , 3 , flyaway.txt
Now by some mechanism i added two more files Superman.txt and Spiderman.txt to the existing string. Now it became
1 , abc.txt , 2 , def.doc , 3 , flyaway.txt, 0, Superman.txt, 0 , Spiderman.txt
What i am doing here is that this csv string is paased into SP where its splitted and inserted to db. So for inserting I have to take the files with numeric part 0 only rest will be omiited .Which will be further then converted into CSV string.Array will look like this
str[0]="1"
str[1]="abc.txt"
str[2]="2"[code].....
So at last i want to say my input will be
1 , abc.txt , 2 , def.doc , 3 , flyaway.txt, 0, Superman.txt, 0 , Spiderman.txt
Desired Output:
0, Superman.txt, 0 , Spiderman.txt

I've tried a few different methods I could find in order to connect my VB .NET program to a book store's database. While I've been able to connect to it and display the contents of its tables in a DataGrid, I need to be able to search the tables and display specific records, depending on the contents of appropriate the adjacent text boxes.[code]This is a code I've used for a very similar process, just really aims to search a different field in the table. If this is easier to adapt into a code that allows searching and producing specific records in a database, please use this one.

I am coding on Visual Basic 2010 and need some My Access database table has following information:
FirstName
LastName
PhoneNumber
Basically what I am trying to do is create a Search function where the user will enter a First and Last Name in the search boxes and upon hitting the ''Search'' button the program will look through the database and check if the records exists.
If the record does exist then I want the Phone number to appear in a separate textbox which is named txtPhoneN. I have included the code I use to connect to the Database. I have already managed code the part to Add new record to the database.

I have a excel report with one sheet called "Export Report". I then add 4 more sheets and rename them accordingly.
I then need to search in "Export Report" in column A, but unknown row for the word 'Definitions' and then once found I have to copy 'Definitions' and 10 rows belows it, to the sheet called "Definitions"
How can I achieve this? At the moment I am stuck at the point of finding the word 'Definitions'. I get error Exception from HRESULT: 0x800A9C64 at this line:

I know how to search a text file for a specific line, but what I don't know is then how to delete that line?My text file is set up as such:

i am working on a VB project for Chem and im making it for converting grams to moles, moles to molecules or any thing like that. and i have about 110 elements set up and working fine the way that im doing it but i have a feeling this is a horrible way and to abundant.
i have a textbox set up to if i type in the element He and hit enter it will find ChemElement(1)="He" and it calls "Sub DisplayElement(ByVal number As Decimal, ByRef label2 As Label)"
Which then displays the Chemical mass into a Label.

I do not know if it is possible to implement this problem in VBA or it must be done with VB. Net using Visual Studio.
Problem: Excel has its search function and it is a pain if there many value available or you must find a value that far away from column A.
I would like to have something like this
In which I can specify what columns I want to display by their header name. Rearrange the column in the way I would like to, and ability to copy and paste. Like datagrid in Visual basic?

I am using VB.net 2003 application program. I am trying to do a select statement whereby I'm searching between 2 datetime values that are being stored as datetime. records are stored inside Access. For example, I am searching between 2 datetime:
StartTime = 2/23/2009 9:00:00 AM
EndTime = 2/23/2009 11:30:00 AM
So I need to find all the records in between 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM on 2/23/2009.
strSQL = "select OrderID from Orders Where OrderDate >= ('" & StartTime & "') AND OrderDate <= ('" & EndTime & "') "
but i got the error showing below:
An unhandled exception of type 'System.Data.OleDb.OleDBException' occurred in system.data.dll
strSQL = "select OrderID from Orders Where OrderDate >= DATEVALUE('" & StartTime & "') AND OrderDate <= DATEVALUE('" & EndTime & "') "
But when I use DATEVALUE, it takes the date from the string and set time as midnight (00:00:00). So it returns no records between 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM on 2/23/2009, but I can see there are records. [Code]

Is there anyway i can search between 2 datetime values. i need to find all the records that lies between that time period (for example: between 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM on 2/23/2009).

That code works great to search for one string, but how can i search for multiple strings in the file? Lets say that "Searchwhat" looks like "GFR,EPB,IKJ" and if the file i am searching in can find all that in the file it will add the filename to the Pathlistbox.

I have a problem when searching an XML string. The problem is that I can't get it to work. I have a big XML in a string, and I only need 2 values that are each in seperate elements. I know this has been answered before but I am having trouble with it still. I am trying to find if a textbox has an "x" as the first character. I am trying to use the left(string, 1) command as described in a couple other threads to just test the first character on the left but the only left function I can find relates to the left coordinates of the textbox.

I'm sure but can't see the answer. Currently going through a string "DO While Not ts_IN.AtEndOfStream" looking for information. This includes then checking another string (while inside the first) for matching reference point for further data.
So within the first loop, I have a second loop "Do While Not ts_IN2.AtEndOfStream". And looping through that string searching for the reference point.
This works initially, but after awhile don't find anything because it is not going back to the start of ts_IN2 string each time loops on the first section.

It seems simple enough, but apparently I cant figure it out. Theres more to my actual problem, but once I figure out this concept then I can do the rest. I want to search a list for a given string, and if it matches, then print it out. If it doesnt match, then it moves to the next item in the list. If if doesnt find any matches, it says "no matches found".
