I have 3 textboxes TextBox1, TextBox2, TextBox3 and a button, I want to do the followingIf I enter a value in TexBox1 and press the button, some text will be set in textbox2 and textbox3; if I enter a value in TextBox2 and press the button, some data will be displayed in TextBox1 and TextBox3.I have no idea how to make the code check if the textbox1 value is not null and the textbox2 value is null, to execute a certain statement and set a value to Textbox2 and textbox3; and if the value of Textbox2 value is null and the textbox2 value is not null, to excecute a certain statement and set a value to Textbox1 and textbox3
I'm trying to populate textboxes on one form based on a selection on a combobox on another form. All data will be pulling from the same SQL table. I've got the combox to work fine to show the correct data in one of the textboxes by using the lines:

I have a database with table "Customer" that will be the datasource for my form controls. My form has a combobox and various textboxes that need to change based on the selectedvalue in the combobox, cboCustNo. Firstly, I'm try to get the combobox to populate with the customer names on the table but have the value member of the combobox set to their customer numbers (just for ease of indexing). Based on the user's selection I'm trying to have various textboxes show the corresponding data (Address, City, Balance, etc.). The code I have so far is below:

Working on a project that contains a listView (populated from a database already) and several textboxes. What I am trying to do, and cannot figure out, is to program this so that when a user makes a selection in the listview, it hits a specific database, and based on certain values within that databse, the textboxes are populated with things such as name and address, etc..
I am trying to change 2 textboxes so that they show the current list view selection. When I click to change the selection the program crashes. Here is my code:

how to go about this? I have a form, frm1 w/a combobox, cboLocations, which is being populated using a sql string. There is also a frm2 w/a series of textboxes and other comboboxes. I want it so that once a selection is made from cboLocations, the textboxes and comboboxes on frm 2 are populated with the corresponding data. Here is what I have so far:

What's happening right now is that I make a selection from cboLocations on frm1 and click on the OK button, frm2 loads, but none of the textboxes are populating and one of the comboboxes, cboDepot, shows the different data when you click on the down arrow, but it's not displaying anything it its text field when frm2 loads.

These collection objects store objects that implement an interface called ICob. ICob has 3 properties. I have a listbox with two values, Current account and Deposit account.The current account has an interest rate of 7% and the deposit account 3%.I have 4 other textboxes. The boxes on the right is where the user inputs and the left side holds the value.

What I want for the Investment Amount is that if the user selects Current account, the amount invested will be automatically calculated with the 7% interest and the same for the deposit, calculation with 3% interest.And the Interest over a year textbox to show how much the interest will be over that year at the rate (whether its 7 or 3%)

When I exit the programme and start it again the checkbox selection from the previously job gets lost. After starting there is not a problem until I exit and start the programme again.

Clicking on any day clears the selections. This bug is repoducable by simply opening a new WindowsForms project, dropping a MonthCalendar control onto its' surface. Click on the TitleBackground, click on a month, Jan thru Dec, and the bug will become self-evident. There may be another bug, if you click on either the Next or Previous month buttons, the selections will shift to the first week of the month. Finally, the Today key at the bottom of the calendar doesn't fully highlight. I am currently using Windows Vista, I will try to repo this on XP as soon as I can.
Am using vb.net 08 and i have a datagridview with 3 columns. The first column has a button as the columntype with the name "UserName". Now, i want if the user clicks only on the UserName which is the first column, but not the entire row, it should display the value of the UserName column only. If other columns are clicked are apart from the UserName, nothing should display. So there will be a for loop that will itera te through all the rows of the datagridview.
I have been looking all over the place trying to figure out how I can programally select a certain Cell in a row. What I am attempting to do is when doing Rowvalidating, and I find that the user has not filled out a column, I do a msgbox, then want to have the cell have the focus, so user can enter in the data. IE, like the way you can cause a text box to have the focus.
