View 2 RepliesI'm making an auto-typer and I need it to only send one line of a multi-lined textbox at a time. It looks like this right now;
If Label1.Text = "1" Then
SendKeys.Send(TextBox2.Text)
SendKeys.Send("{Enter}")
Thread.Sleep(TextBox13.Text)
Timer2.Enabled = False
End If
I want the Textbox2.text to be entered one line at a time and then to sleep for the desired time.
i tried to code sendkeys.send(textbox1.text)but what it did was just pressing down the letter.i wanted to write Shift in textbox and press a button and it will press shift and not S-h-i-f-t

I am working on my application that I have two forms to work with, as the one are for search and replace text and the other form are the normal form. However, I want to know how I can use the sendkeys on the form1 when I highlight for each line of the text in the textbox on form1 to press the enter key and start firing for each line of the highlighted text?And how I can do the sendkeys to the form1 when I open the search and replace dialog to input the search text in the textbox then click the button to sendkeys on my form1 and firing for each line of the highlighted text? [code]It did not send the keys on my form1 and start firing. It have just input the text as "13". I want to do the sendkeys as enter on my form1.

View 2 RepliesBasically, i don't want to use <input type="submit"> mainly because it's a button, i'd rather user ActionLink, so i am using Ajax.ActionLink, and i'm not sure what to place in the routeValues argument for it to pickup the new (edited) data (user enters comments etc) and send it to my action.this is what i have, but of course, it sends the original comment before user edit back to the server/action :)
<%= Ajax.ActionLink("Update", "UpdateComment", Model.Comment,
New AjaxOptions With
{.UpdateTargetId = Model.CommentDivId, .HttpMethod = "Post"})%>
ps: i know how to do this in javascript, and doing ajax posts etc,
I would like to show that the computer is busy and not frozen during a long file transmitted over Serial Port.I have the following loop.The intention was to show one "*" for every line sent.
While (fs.EndOfStream = False)
lineRead = (fs.ReadLine)
TextBox1.Text = "* "
SerialPort1.Write(lineRead)
End While
I can see the data sent on the Scope but the chain of "******...." show up after the transmission ends.The WHILE LOOP is actually working but the TextBox1.Text = "*" is not writing to screen.I would like to see the train of ******** same time as the transmission is active.The * is to show that the computer is busy and not frozen.Writing a copy of the actual serial data transmitted to screen is also another option that I can use.
I mean the same thing what the most websites have *CONTACT US FORM* that send your name, text that you have write to a e-mail. How i do this with Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition
View 2 RepliesI never used the printingdocument class, and i need some info to know if i can do what i'm thinking.I need to send some text from one textbox directly to one printer (i doesn't have to be the default printer), the user just have to push the button in the form, and the text gets printed. I don't need (want), the print preview and the form with the printers list.
View 6 RepliesMay I know instead of using WriteLine(MyTextBox.Text) to send data to a serial port, how do I send character by character? Use BaseStream.Write?
Now:
Dim ComLine As Ports.SerialPort
ComLine.WriteLine(MyTextBox.Text)
I am currently sending data via a serial port to an AVR microcontroller. I've tried searching the forums here first but haven't found any posts that specifically deal with what I'm trying to do. Here's some additional information that might help before proceeding:
Sendbox = textbox
ReceiveBox = listbox
ReceiveChk = checkbox
I currently have it setup so I enter hex data in Sendbox, click the button, it sends the data to the AVR micro via the serial port, which gets repeated back through the serial port and receives the hex data in the ReceiveBox. I want to be able to setup something similar so I am able to input data into a textbox as binary and have it sent to the AVR that way.
I realize it will send the same data whether I enter it in hex or binary form. I just want the option of being able to send it in either form.
Below is my code.
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles SendButton.Click
SerialPort1.Open()

I'm trying to make a program to send a command through a textbox when a button is clicked, THEN grab the output and put it into another texbox. If you could help i would be great full. This is what I have so far....

Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
Shell("C:DFUs-irecovery.exe")
[code]....
it would work something like that:
-I type some text into few textboxes
-I press a send button
-Everything i typed into textboxes is sent to my email
I'm working on a Form that contains a datagridview and textbox, I need the datagridview detect any letter of the alphabet or numbers, then select the input and send the key pressed to input.
View 1 Repliesi want to select the row on datagridview and send it cell's value into textbox / label control on the same form..but it seems not work, but when i use
Private Sub DGV_CellClick(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellEventArgs) Handles DGV.CellClick
it can but i have to choose by click on each cell on it datagridview..what i want is i only have to click on it[datagridview] row but i get all value on it's column.. so i can parse/send it value into textbox.it only can be clicked with single row i knew it by DataGridView1.SelectionMode = DataGridViewSelectionMode.FullRowSelect
How to print nice Drawings and things... All i want to do is send the data from a simple textbox to a piece of paper. I understand how to do page setup and such.. The only thing i don't know is how to actually set up the page.
View 1 RepliesI have a listview and on save or update of the database it saves the TicketID to the listview. It also shows all the prior tickets created in the listview as well. I would like to pass the very last entry ie in this case TicketID to a textbox so that it prints out a ticket with the ticketID for the user.
Don't really want to loop through all the other tickets in the listview since it could end up running into the tens of thousands of numbers.
[Code]....
Now as you can see it is sending the textbox1 text and then pressing enter then sending textbox2 text! Theres quite a few problems in that but before i discuss note: This code is in a Timer. Problem #1: It does not send the keys fully correct all the time because its trying to send them all at once! So i want it to send them 1 letter after the other with 200 ms sleep in them! Problem #2: The sleep is not working: The reason i know is because even after it did the first textbox1 text it didnt wait that 2000 ms!
Are there any good books out there that will show someone how to set up a form using Visual basic that will take information and send it to the server and then send a recipient an Email?

View 4 RepliesI am trying to send keys to a control on my form. But I am getting a NullReferenceException and I don't know why. The code is about as basic as it gets: [Code] The error reported is object reference not set to an instance of an object but Send is a shared method so doesn't need an instance. Strangely if I ignore the error it works fine and F4 is passed to the control. I know there was an issue with sendkeys and UAC but I thought this had been solved (I am using 4.0 framework).
View 1 RepliesI have a filter that is used to populate a grid view and the url will conain: /example/grid?value1=1&value2=2
It will then have a link to page 2, which allows them to edit something.I then want them to click a link that will send them back to the gridview under the same parameters of: /example/grid?value1=1&value2=2
Is this possible? How do I hold on and fill in the URL values so it knows how to refill the grid view accordingly?

I am trying to use the send keys function to send text to another program.I ahve gotten it al working well, except for using () as I know sendkeys doesnt like these.I have tried using the Replace function in several places in my code to replace the ( with {(} and {+0} etc, with various other options tried.But when I run the program, it seems to skip this out completly and leaves them in the string as (, and therefore it errors and wont run.When I step through it, it goes through the function but doesnt alter the strng as it should. This is the code to send the string and my attempt at making it replace the () in the module
Module TextReplacement
Private Declare Function GetAsyncKeyState Lib "user32.dll" (ByVal vKey As Int32) As Short
Dim counter As Integer
Dim sData() As String
[code]....
The error I get when i try send "Test :)" is: ArgumentExcveption was unhandled "SendKeys string 'Test :)' is not valid"
