Set DataRows In DataTable ReadOnly?

how to make DataRows in a DataTable ReadOnly? You can set DataColumns ReadOnly, but not DataRows?
I'd like to bind a DataRow ReadOnly property to my DataGridViewRow ReadOnly property. So when my DataGridView displays the underlying DataTable, if the DataRow is ReadOnly then the DataGridViewRow would automatically be ReadOnly as well. how to do this other than the way I do it below?

I am getting array of selected datarows from a datatable.select.I use the commands below to get that array or datarows

i have a many-to-many relationship table in a typed DataSet.For convenience on an update i'm deleting old relations before i'm adding the new(maybe the same as before).Now i wonder if this way is failsafe or if i should ensure only to delete which are really deleted(for example with LINQ) and only add that one which are really new.
In SQL-Server is a unique constraint defined for the relation table, the two foreign keys are a composite primary key. Is the order the DataAdapter updates the DataRows which RowState are <> Unchanged predictable or not?In other words: is it possible that DataAdapter.Update(DataTable) will result in an exception when the key already exists?

I use SqlDataAdapter.Fill to retrieve data from a SQL2000 Server, and the datatable is updatable.
Recently, we plan to upgrade to SQL2005, during testing we found that the same statement will return a datatable, which is readonly We need to change the column's readonly property in order to update it.

I am using a PropertyGrid control to edit my class properties and I am trying to set certain properties read-only depending on other property settings.This is the code of my class:

This is the code I am using to edit the values:

The problem is that when I set SomeProperty to True, nothing happens and when I then set it to False again it sets all properties Read-Only.

I've made DataGridView on my Form1(data from database i've made). And i did an event,when someone doubleclicks that row marker(that left side empty cell,when you mark all row) it opens up my Form2. I can't find a way to export those vallues(strings) in cells of selected row to my Form2,so i can use them there.

I'd like to partition my search results (which is in a DataTable) into groups of say 100 so the user navigates through them a chunk at a time.I thought I could bind an array of DataRows to a DataGridView as the DataSource but it just does not work. This is the code I tried

I've got a bindingsource that has a datasource of a datatable
capabiltiesBS.DataSource = vendorBAL_C.capabilitiesTable
And that table looks like this

At any rate - I do this to filter the binding source and then thought I could loop through the datarows and fill a tree view with them

I want to set the DataSource Property of a listview and of a combobox to an array of datarows.

The 'Name' column does exist, but the ComboBox shows only the type of each datarow not the contents! If I set the datasource to a datatable, the correct column is shown in the combobox/listview.

I have a datatable and I apply a filter to the defaultview.rowfilter property of that datatable. If I then loop through the rows collection of the datatable, will I only be able to see those rows that the filter applies to, or will it loop through all the rows?

I am working on a project that takes an xml schema and xml data files and places them into a DataTable, the 2 files are generated from a working table that i have written to disk. I wish to load these 2 files into a DataTable. Here is What i have

I have a datagridview bound to a datatable setting its datasource property to the datatable. I would like to have a child form that contains a list of columns associated with the datatable that contains a checkbox that will allow the user to hide and show the columns ( I do not know the best control to use here) (I assume this is the easy part as All i need to do is loop through each of the datatable's columns to get the column name)
now I would like save these visible columns on some event like form_closing so that the next time the user opens the form up it will remember the settings

I came across a problem with using a BindingSource as my DataGridViews.DataSource. Whenever I applied a filter to a column in the BindingSource and the user makes changes that don't match the column filter the DataGridViewRows would automatically disappear. A similar thing would happen when applying a Sort to a column. If the user made any changes the DridGirdViewRows would automatically sort causing rows to be moved around. This was not ideal for my application and there isn't anyway to stop this from happening with the BindingSource.
To correct this issue I have to use subsets of data. I use a DataView to apply the filter and sort to the main DataTable, which creates the subset DataTable.The problem is when I use the DataView.ToTable method I loose the Primary Key and RowError information. So I have to reapply this information everytime the user filters or sorts the DataGridView.Is there a better way to get a subset DataTable?[code]...

What I want to do is be able to create a summary of the data table above that groups multiple occurrences of a resource and adds up the hours used for that resource, creating a summary that looks like this -

I am trying to add NewRow to the database by using datatable in dataset, but before I do that I want to make sure that row is not already there. I create new row for the datatable I am working with, fill it with information. I fill datatable with the row from database that has the same primary key as my NewRow by using tableadapter.fill method, but when I do that my NewRow that was never added to the datatable is filled with information from database(and not information that I assigned to it). I count rows in my datatable before I fill it and it's 0, so why is my NewRow affected by Fill command? (I am using VB.NET 2005 Framework 2.0)

I am trying to set the an entire row readonly if one of the fields is set to true. I have a checkbox on column 6 which is either ticked or not. Therefore, if the checkbox is ticked i.e., set to TRUE then the entire row should be READONLY.

I have a user control and I'd like to give it a custom property named ReadOnly. I get "Keyword is not valid as an identifier", as it thinks I'm writing a ReadOnly Property named something.
so really I can call mine 'Read_Only', but I'm just curious if there's an easy way to get the other name in there, since then my control will be similar to the visual controls that have ReadOnly in the designer.
