Listview Listitems Not Drawing Their Backcolors?
Nov 22, 2005I have filled my listview with items, most of which have different backcolors, now this worked fine with .Net 1.1 with VS 2003 but now I have "upgraded" to VS 2005 and .Net 2.0 they are no longer being drawn with there backcolor at run time (both in debug and release)...However, I have a function that will export any listview into excel and this keeps the column widths, row colours and row fonts all in tact, and low and behold the colours are correct in excel, so why are the colours not being draw on the control?
Oh, and I have just noticed.... Literally while writing this post, if I resize the window (which forces the listview to change its column widths to stay looking correct) in a "vertical" direction it draws the colours on and off..... this is a very strange bug, it also draws the colurs if I min the window and open it again.......So I recap... when I load up the listview the colours are not drawn, if I resize the window so that the control grows in height the colours flash on and off, and if I min the window and open it again the colours are there...

Hence after a new staff created, user can click on new button at the bottom to show a new staff form and close the previous one (parent form).
I have the following code under new button click event but i found that the previous form (parent form) somehow is still held in the memory.

So what I am trying to do is to get textBox1 to show which button i have clicked. Because I have Form_Activated I only see changes when i reactivate the Form. So I would like to have Event that is Active all the time and listens to everything that happens in Application and NOT only when something is clicked or some text have changed.

I have named Button1 as Scan. When i click on Scan, the Button2(Pause) and Button3(Stop) should be displayed. When it is scanning, i have placed the progress bar with the timer. Image In My Toolstrip Button Cannot Show In Runtime
Jun 2, 2009I know this may sound really stupid, however, I really do not know. Though I have been programming with VB2005 for about the last 4 years or so, I have never used toolstrip at all. Just simply never has a need to, until now. So, I tried it by simply clicking it in the toolbox, which is simple enough, and choose the toolstrip button for the toolstrip as well. I change the button image to the image I have and want, which seems to be piece of cake operation. Everything looks good in design time. However, when I ran the program, I have the toolstrip simply look blank (no show of the button or the image at all)! The button was there alright, as when I clicked it, it responded. However, it just simply not visible at all, nor the image. When I ran my mouse over it, it did change color (which I guess indicate it is there), but no image either.

### = 1232, 1234, 1236, 1238, 123A, 123C ; comment here I want to show a button when the caret (cursor pipe thing) in the textbox goes is in a number so like:
... , 12|31, .... or
... , 123|1, .... etc
(the pipe being the caret)
I have written code to check if it is in a number and to get the number when the button is clicked, but it doesn't work correctly if I put the code in the selection changed event.
oh and the numbers can be upto 8 digits long and hex.
