I need a function in VB.Net that is round up the value to the next quarter.Example value 0.26 should become 0.5 and 0.51 should become 0.75,etc.Excel has this function standard like RoundUp(value;0.25). But I my opinion this function is available in VB.Net. Is there an easy way in VB.Net to calculate the next quarter.

View 2 Repliesi've a treeview in my project form which look like this.[code]The user will be able to upload their pages to the respective pages nodes and I am suppose to make it in such a way that after the user uploaded the cover page which is showing at the PictureBox1 which I've use to display the image, and when he uploads the second page image at the PictureBox1, the Cover page image that he uploaded earlier on will not be overwrite.I was told to create class and use array to store the contain in the respective nodes but I do not have any idea how to do it.Is there any other ways about solving this problem? I'm using Visual Studio 2008 vb.net.

I am using VS 2008/VB with Access 2007. I have 2 forms that I use to create entries. In the first form (fomr1) I select the type of entry which opens the respective form (form. In form1 I use some code to read through a oledbreader the id rows and get the max value in that column. I take that value and I add 1 to it and then assign the value to a textbox in form2. I'm trying to check if a LINQ Entity exists in its table, but at design time I dont know what type that entity is. So I figure I'll just get the table, and try the Contains method on it. But I cant get the table in such a way that I can query it at design time.I've tried the GetTable method on the datacontext, but I dont know how to cast it to the appropriate type when using GetTable(Of). GetTable(Type) works, I just use Entity.GetType(), but then I don't know how to query the ITable thats returned.To try and cast the ITable to something useable, I created an interface(IWhatever) that could implement properties that are native to all of my entities I would encounter. The latest assignment from my teacher was to create a console program where the user enters a character and the respective ASCII value in Denary, Hexadecimal and Binary, Even Parity, Odd Parity and Hamming code is returned.I've managed to implement all of them except the latter with relative ease, I am familiar with the concept of Hamming code and can compute it easily by hand, but don't really know how to implement it as a function in my program. I'm using two datetimepicker controls to set the start and end dates for a range of dates I'm searching for.I want to make sure that the start date selected is not greater than the end date. I have one more problem with MonthControl.And when I bold some dates the program doesn't show bold dates on month calendar.When I move on next or previous month and get back to currently month the program normal displays bold dates. What's the problem?

I think this question has been asked already in a couple different ways and I've reviewed those posts and I've tried to do what was suggested but it doesn't seem to work for me. I've tried to place a second split container inside panel2 of the first split containter. This gave me what appeared to be a three way vertical split.
I'm trying to split a Yahoo historical stock price csv file, downloaded into a string, by what looks like a space character. I want a new row for each split. The split function works for other characters I see in the string. I suspect the characters may be a non breaking space character but I've been unable to split on them. However, my dates in my table are stored as Varchar(50) (and have to be). Apparently I can convert the date in the table into date type but I don't know. Does anyone know how? I'm having some trouble. I have an sql statement to update some rows to an Access DB I enter a date like 01/08/2009 (1st Aug 2009) and it saves to my DB as 08/01/2009 (08th Aug 2009 but still 01 Aug if it were mm/dd/yyyy format)

I am trying to find the difference between two dates. The first of the two dates can be changed and when it is changed, the difference between the original dates has to be retained. This means that I have to automatically change the second date to have the same difference in days as it did before, but with a new first date.
