Out of curiosity, is there a way i can make a program stop or pause for a period of time (which i would choose) before continuing the code WITHOUT a timer.I think I've seen this done before, but I'm not positive. Also note that I'm talking about a forms application (not a console app if that would be any different.)
How to store time from DTPicker in SQLServer 2000 when the front end is in VB2005. I am using the following. In the add form:- Private Sub btnAdd_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnAdd.Click Dim dsNewCustomer As DataSet = DataAccess.AuthorData.DataModule.GetNewAuthor Dim frm As New frmAuthor frm.MainForm = Me frm.LoadData(dsNewCustomer) [Code] ..... Time is not getting stored in SQLServer2000 database.
I want to store date time picker into database .I am using date to search my reservation information and how is the code for search out the information from database.
I need a way to store just the time only to my access database. the datetimepicker isn't working because there is no way to have a null date.I found this and it seems to be exactly what I need. When I try to convert it to vb2008 i get a few errors I can't figure out.
I am developing an application, and i need to store some configuration settings, with time, i will need to add some more configuration settings. Am thinking of three alternative to implement that will me easy to access without much coding and efficient sqlite, xml, and application configuration file..But am concerned about security, because some personal data will be saved together.
I am coding a program that will allow the user to input 5 payrolls for Store 1, Store 2, and Store 3. The total of the 5 payrolls are then added together and shown in the respective Store's labels. A total label is also there to add up all the totals into one number. The numbers in the label must be in currency form. My problem is the numbers don't add correctly when I hit calculate. The first two numbers add together, but then after that the number just seems to subtract a random amount.
So far I have this --
Public Class Form1
Private Sub Button2_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button2.Click Me.Close() End Sub
I'm trying to replace one character at a time in order to store its index, therefore if the replace is used all characters are changed and I cannot keep the index of all characters.
I am developing an application which will keep track of various information about medical practitioners that are affiliated with my place of work. One thing that we are tracking, is their availability by time of day (morning, afternoon, and evening) for each day of the week (monday - sunday). Additionally we will store an optional comment about the practitioners availability, something like "Does not work during full moon."
The input/display form for this information will be table with days of the week as column headers, and times of the day as row headers. Check boxes will indicate whether the practitioner is available during the specified time.
I am having a hard time figuring out how to store this information in the database. The most obvious solution to create a table with 24 columns (21 for 7 days * 3 times, 1 as the primary key, and 1 for the foreign key referring to the practitioner, and 1 for the comment). Which is a crappy table, but at least it's easy to select and update.[code]....
I am working on a windows application project on NIST time synchronization, but can't get a proper solution for it. If anyone can send me the code to synchronize time from the global time server in VB.net or C # code
How can i capture my console real time output and store the information in a log file?
i know that i can write in the file when i write in the console window, there's got to be a better way... how can i capture the console's output stream?
I found that Console.OpenStandardOutput is a stream, but i can't read from it
Dim r As New StreamReader(Console.OpenStandardOutput) MsgBox(r.ReadToEnd) r.Close() r = Nothing
I am having a problem storing an image as a Blob in a SQL linked table. Our system uses an Access 2002 frontend and linked to a SQLServer2000 database. I have a form that I want to display a unique client jpeg photo for each client record. Our client HIPAA concerns means we have to store the image not the path in the database field. I am using an Image control on the form. Initially I have been able to load an image from a Windows Dialog into the control and save the path no problem.
My issues are surrounding how to actually save and load the jpeg as a BLOB in a VBA byte Array after the image has been loaded to the form from the dialog box.(Is there some sort of binary conversion needed or does the Append and GetChunk methods handle all this)?:
All the code examples I have been able to find on the subject have a line of code to set the Image control's data source to the open recordset with this statement ---> Set imgDBImage.DataSource = rs. Does this statement work with VBA because DataSource does not show up as a property of an Access 2002 Image Control. So how do I point the Image Control to the table field which contains the BLOB in VBA code?
Finally, how do you convert the string path of the image to binary for storage in a byte Array in VBA. I have the syntax for a VB 6.0 which is..... .Fields("ImageBLOB").AppendChunk bytBLOB. Is the .Fields portion of the code relevant in VBA to tell what table field to write to and does the AppendChunk method handle all the conversion?
Is there a more efficient way of doing this than adding &""""& for every double quotation mark in the html code when building the string? I need to store the HTML code as a string. I am finding "[tablerow]" within an existing document with StreamReader and want to replace it with my string value (html code) when writing it back using stringwriter.
i want to create an application to store all the source code snippets and help information(as i keep learning vb.net) to refer to when i forget or need help.i came across this software.., [URL]
i want to create a similar application. how do i go about creating it? does it require a database? if yes, what kind of database?
I am using VS2008 Pro. I have a simple DVD database built. I'm trying to make a data driven app to store my dvd collection. One of my tables is Actors and is structured as follows.[code]On a form in my app I have a combobox. I'm trying to make it list FirstName LastName ie. Will Smith. I know how to make a query that'll take the LastName and FirstName fields and list it as Actor. I'm having a heck of a time getting it to do that in the combobox as it'll only let me use one field for the display and won't let me use the query I've made.[code]I keep getting some error about schema don't match default query. I know I could simply change the table to only have one field that holds first and last name, but from what I understand that's not proper db practice. I've searched this site and google until I was blue in the face at looking at soulutions that don't match what I'm trying to do.
i want to make the Grid view Button(Time In) invisible until the User press Time Out Button. Once the user press the Time Out Button,Time in Button must be shown
I performed a search by completing this information in my form:
TextBox1: the user types DB-20-RTS DateTimePicker1: selects 7 april 2004 DateTimePicker2: selects 7 april 2004
[Code]....
I don't have errors of syntax in my code the only problem is when I press the search button (it doesn't store me in the columns of datagridview the 5 things I want).
I decided to make a module to store all my Sub's for populating a TreeView on my main form. My question is, how do I make the Module.vb where I'm storing these Subs recognize the TreeView on my main form? I'm going to create subs such as this:
Public Sub Populatetest() Dim _GeneralNode1 As TreeNode = TreeView1.Nodes.Add("Test") End Sub
make a application where I can store a lot of account information in a file on my computer. This is how it works so far.I have a class called "AccountInfo" with some properties such as Account Name, Password, etc... This is bound to a DataGridView via a Bindingsource. So basicaly what I'm asking, is how can I save/load all these accounts in my computer easily in a file or something?
I am trying to rewrite some code and I am trying to determine if I am writing it correctly. My goal is to make sure that the old code and my new code produce the same results(i.e. are logically equivalent). Are the 2 code blocks below equivalent?
Old
If a = 1 then If b = 3 OrElse b = 18 OrElse b = 20 OrElse b = 21 OrElse b = 4 then ' Do something
I've been looking through the book I own and I've been looking online but I just don't understand what code would I write to have it check the text box or input box for the right letters in a word?
