Apr 20, 2011Does anyone know if you can store VS 2003/2005 code in Team Foundation? If so, is their any configuration needed for Team Foundation?

Mar 7, 2010Are the codes generated from Visual Studio.net 2003 Visual Basic fully convertible and compatible ti Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition ? I tried converting a project which was develop from VS 2003 for VB 2005 but after the process there are some commands which is not supported in the latter version. The deployment module in this project is also not recognised in VB 2005.

Oct 20, 2010I'm working with Visual Basic.NET 2003.I want to get an image file from my .resx file which I made using Resourcer.exe, and use a button to put it in a PictureBox. I haven't been able to make the code work, which I found by surfing the net. I did succeed in loading the picture through the designer, after using WinResourceWrapper.exe., but I would rather use code in order to use the same PictureBox.

Aug 11, 2009I have an application that basicly collects a lot of information on a form, with 5 seperate tabs, prior to outputting this to a text file. Currently the forms are not dynamic in that they contain all the possible texboxes and just hide or show them depending upon choices made. The data is gathered by a function that creates an array of texboxes requiring processing, array being created would seem to correspond to a single line that is being output. The array is moved through item by item and the data gathered then output as a line in the text file. This is repeated for the 80 odd lines. Now a couple of questions, is this the best way to do this?

Checkbox Access 2003 VB Code?
Sep 30, 2011I am creating a Microsoft Access 2003 database which will be using Visual Basic code in the backend.I have a form called frmReports. On this form are three option groups consiting of checkboxes. What I want to happen is if one of the checkboxes is checked, then the other two option groups are made invisible.
The context of the problem is a teacher is reporting on pupils. If a pupil is marked as being absent from class, the other two option groups (Behvaviour and Homework) disappear as no other information can be input.

Jul 15, 2010Although a few people around here have said that Dates are not a huge deal that they're simply data, I always seem to get stuck on them, and my current issue is no exception. I am trying to save/retrieve data between my Access 2003 data and my VB2005 form. I have tried any number of combinations (even the forbidden Value.ToString, and having the Data Type in Access as string, and although it worked fine for saving the data, it doesn't work for loading it back into the form.). Jan 19, 2009I want to know is there any functions or methods that i can use to batch update the data to MS access from vb.net 2005?Here is my case:I have around 70 records to update back to MS Access.Currently I only know update row by row. So, it means i need to loop through all rows. (I also have where ...=... and ...=... and ...=... in update command.)Its not a good idea because if some where went wrong during updating.The previous updated data will be in DB but the rest will not. So, data will not correct and up-to-date.So, I want to use Batch processing. If something go wrong, all will not update. If updating is OK, then all will be in DB.

I do all these steps then click "test connection" and it is fine, but when I click "ok" and error message pops up."Unable to connect to database. It is only possible to connect to SQL Server Desktop Engine databases and Microsoft Access Databases with this version of visual studio."

Jul 4, 2009I did not do anything at all but I just noticed that my 2005 solution files are defaulted to 2003 so I used "Open With" and ticked the "Always use this program..." and selected the 2005 even and it is now being opened with 2005 but somehow the icon still shows the 2003 icon, why is this and is there anything I can do to revert it back to the 2005 icon?
The only thing I did was to download and install the latest BOL of SQL Server 2000 which I am not sure if it affected any setting for VS. EDIT: "Restore File Association" did not do the trick.

Mar 22, 2012I am coding a program that will allow the user to input 5 payrolls for Store 1, Store 2, and Store 3. The total of the 5 payrolls are then added together and shown in the respective Store's labels. A total label is also there to add up all the totals into one number. The numbers in the label must be in currency form. My problem is the numbers don't add correctly when I hit calculate. The first two numbers add together, but then after that the number just seems to subtract a random amount.

My program works fine for users with 2003 Office but has errors on users with 2000 Office. I was able to downgrade my pc to Office 2000 so my program would reference to MS office 9.0 (2000). This proved to be successful since both 2000 and 2003 users can now print properly. The problem now is my development pc cant create any word.application ...
