im using this MP3 tagging library called TagLib# or TagLibSharp.
Unfortunately the documentation is a bit patchy to say the least and their (Official) website, which contains all the documentation seems to have closed down, leaving me to download this MP3 tagging library from the link below.
http://developer.novell.com/wiki/index.php/TagLib_Sharp
Everything so far works, including tagging the 'Artist, Title, Album' etc. but I want to include an image in my MP3 files, like album art.I have found some sample code to read the image back from the tag using their library, I just can't work out what it would look like the other way around.
If filetotag.Tag.Pictures.Length >= 1 Then
Dim bin = DirectCast(filetotag.Tag.Pictures(0).Data.Data, Byte())
AlbumArt.Image = Image.FromStream(New MemoryStream(bin)).GetThumbnailImage(115, 115, Nothing, System.IntPtr.Zero)
End If
This code above will read an existing tag and load the image into a picture box called 'Album Art'.how to 'flip' it so that it would look something like ...
how can i implement tagging in my asp.net website using visual basic. how to show older tags or give new tags to any contents. secondly i want to know how to implement cloud tagging?
The say why of tagging this stake overflow is using right now. when we put the mouse on tags text box it suggest some older tags and also we can enter new tags.
I have made a little application for me and my friend to be able to chat with eachother, but now we have some unclear strings as you can see on the image below:
I would like to change for example the username or time date to a color or make it bold, could anyone tell me how to change ONLY that and not everything? I'd love to have such a thing as it makes the whole application way 'clearer'.
I am using Taglib# from http://developer.novell.com/wiki/index.php/TagLib_Sharp I can read all the tags and edit the title and album but not the artist.
On the site they say
code file.Tag.Title = title file.Tag.Track = track file.Tag.Album = album file.Tag.Artists = artists
but then I get an error that file.tag.artists is obsolete and I need to use albumArtists or performers. When I do this I cant change the value. Even not when I change it in the watch view.
i wanted to write a quick program to get the file organization of my MP3 files back into sync with the info in my ID3 tags... I had tried to get the Windows Media Format SDK, but when i go to install it says it can only run on WinXP. Problem is it seems the official site is gone, and the other links i've found to a hosting on Novell's servers is also down. Anyone know where i can still get a distro of TagLib# for C#/VB.NET for Windows? Or another good ID3 tag reader?
how to make taglib save certain tags that use arrays. For example when I save the album i can just type ID31.Album = txtalubm1.text. But if I want to save albumartist since its an array I cant seem to do it the same way.
Is there a way that I can create images (bitmap, tiffs, whatever) from txt,docx,pdf,or rtf files?
One idea that I found was creating a Metafile from the file. However I am get GDI+ errors with the palette. how to get around that? Do you think this is the right track?
Dim gr As Graphics = Me.picFile.CreateGraphics() 'i am really not using a picture box, but I thought if it helps, why not?
I would like to know how to enable my programs to rip image files off the web to display them in a picture box. all i know is how to use the web browser object to load the site with the image file on it
[URL]
i would like to know how to now transfer that image from the web browser to a picture box or just save it locally
ok, so i've built an application that iterates through some folders that i specified and adds any image files to a datagridview Image Columnhowever, .ico files pose an issue: ones that were specifically designed for WinVista Throw an Exception:"Paramater Not Specified"
Is it possible to set the image windows displays when viewing a file created in a VB.NET application? In my case I have files saved that store info on football plays for a play creator program. Can I use the image of that play as what the user will see when he searches through windows explorer?
Let me further explain with an analogy: photo files in windows have their images displayed as the user cycles through them; he chooses which one he wants to doubleclick based on the thumbnail image of the actual photo. I'd like to have a "photo" of the play itself shown instead of what is now just a blank generic grey icon for the play files that I save.
I'm working on a program where I've got a WebBrowser control that displays an HTML file from my 'Resources' folder. Like so... WebBrowser1.DocumentText = My.Resources.MyHTMLFile That displays the text from the HTML file just fine, but it does not display the CSS styles or images that the HTML file uses (even though I've added the CSS file and images to the 'Resources' folder as well).
The idea is to scan a folder of images and then let the user navigate back and forth through the images using a couple of buttons.The problem is, I can only get it to return a single image, and not the whole lot. It's looks to me as though the images are getting assigned to the same index in the array. [code]
What type of connector do i need to actually save the Map data like point of the images (x,y coordinate) into the database . and then retrieve it to show on the page in asp.net and how do i go about doing it.
The app i am working on is for creating theme for the iPod touch... It has to deal with LOTS of images (100's potentially) There will be the set of default images, and then the user created replacement images. I started loading all the defaults into a resx file... thinking then I could just pull them out. now that I started setting the default, this sucks! lol the app will do this, on load it will set all the images (variables) to the resx images then when a theme is loaded, it will replace the default with the user image (if the user img exists) otherwise, the default stays. Then the "screen" is drawn to show the user. so, here is just the images to build the wallpaper, dock, and status bar...
I was thinking to make an app to save images [or download images] to local hard disk. But to keep it easy, I want this app to create a small picturebox on form to show the thumbnail of downloaded image. Lets say a 5 pictureboxes has to be added with the thumbnails to show the recent downloads. A user can save the location where he wants to save the files on hard disk. A listbox or a dropdown menu will help in categorizing the images, like image1 in friends section, image2 in family section, image3 in others, etc... When the program restarts all the latest 5 thumbnails has to be loaded in pictureboxes and the directory that was chosen. Finally, a button that shows the downloaded images into original image file size one by one or a slide show. Is it possible to make such program?
I am developing a visual basic 2008 express edtion program of an organisation that should get images from the system and display on image/picture box. further the program should save the displayed image in access database so that it can be retrieved together when you want to search the information about that particular employee.
I need this for my program. There is "add images" button where you can load multiple images and those images should be show on listview after loading.I have been trying to make this but could not get it work.
I have a program that will get a hash of the image but the problem is that I have to do to manually.I have a set of images of a folder names images(C:/images/) and ill be choosing which of those images i want to upload to my database.So far I got my program to work with database and such, wat I need is, if its possible I but the folder path on OpenFileDialog and I was a image to show in Picturebox1, then if I press button1 it will go to next picture.
I have placed several PictureBox Images of different colored dots(which represent lights) on an image of a Christmas Tree. I can make the lights randomly flash using a randomGenerator and a Select case statement. However, the code is very long. There are 67 lights on this tree and the code is 71 pages long. There has to be an easier way to do this. So far I have tried the following with two images of lights just to see if it would work and it does not work:
I've been coding using vb.net for a while but I've been using imageLocation property to set an image for a picturebox or for the background image of a form. How do I use those images in my Resources Folder in my solution explorer to set an image for a certain picturebox or form. I sorta need a code for it.
I'm creating a form which is basically an image in a picture box that I use the graphics object to do drawstring's and drawimage's upon.I keep track of where I'm drawing these things so that I can click on them later and do various things (launch external apps - whatever).Is using a picturebox and the graphics object the best way to approach this.
i am creating a web browser using microsoft vb.net 2008 and i want to save all images only displaying on any web page in my browser. i have added check box to save images. browser.PNG when i click on check box , the browser will prompt to save only images files on web page.
I'm currently working on an application that allows users to select picture files and then categorize them into folders. Now I'm having two issues that are probably simple to fix but I only have a year of experience with vb so I just don't know how to fix them. The first and biggest issue is that once the user has selected and categorized a file, I want the program to select the next file in the folder that the first file was moved from. This way the number of clicks required is minimized. However I have no clue what I would need to do in order to accomplish this. Also, my other problem is that I want to be able to find the indexof a quotation mark but whenever I put it in the parameter it just reads it as a quote.
I am trying to import a bunch of excel 2003 files all with A:H columns and they are under the same headings etc. into a table in access 2003 database. This is a module in access im making. Im using a file search to look for every file that begins with Format (which they all do ) to get at all the files in the folder path. is there a more efficient way to do this? somehow select all files in a folder? and import each to the same table in access? The DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet seeems to take each file path individually so I'm not sure how to get each file name in the folder to import it.
I have this at the moment:
Sub Import() Dim db As Database Set db = CurrentDb
