Mar 10, 2011To simplify things, I have a new VB .NET 2008 Windows Form Application with absolutely no code yet. The only control I have on the form is a stock standard imagelist common control. Using the inbuilt editor for adding images, i've added one single 16x16 jpg image (just to simplify things). If I build and run the application at this point I get the following error.An error occurred creating the form. See Exception.InnerException for details. The error is: Index was outside the bounds of the array. I don't expect to see any images at this point when I 'Run' the application. I just need to work out why I'm getting the error. Later on I'll be referencing the imagelist in another control.

I also want to setup a query in the query builder which will search the database according to the ID but i cant get it right i dont know why. i type in the form filter this: LIKE @ID + '%'. But when i click somewhere else, an error appears which says: Data type error in expression.

May 25, 2010I have a little vb.net script that will copy a file, set its attributes to Normal, update the file time, and then set back the attributes to match those of the source file.

I however I'm encountering a quite strange problem. On some configurations, IO.File.SetLastWriteTimeUtc triggers an UnauthorizedAccess error, although the IO.File.Copy instruction worked very well.
VS 2008 - Adding Hours To Daily Update System
Aug 21, 2010I was just thinking what is the best way to make daily update system? I have a perfectly work system that checks for updates and downloads the latest files and all that. But one problem the user has to click check for updates button first. I think the real question is how can i add 3 hours to let say 10:00. I also think using the 24 hour system would probably be easier.

But when I upgraded to VS2008 the utility can no longer locate files in the active system folder. I have UAC turned off and am logged in as the Administrator and it still can not locate a file that I can see in Windows Explorer. The file I am looking for is PakMgr.exe.

When I started to install the application to computers at the office, I realized that, in some machines, application doesn�t work properly. Although it worked for 15 computers perfectly, for 3 computers following error code is displayed:

I need to create an airline reserve system in which the user selects whether they want first class or economy using a radio button. Also once the user hits reserve seat the first seat number should turn from green to red in the section they selected. If the user was then to hit reserve seat again the next seat (seat 2) would turn from green to red and so on. I know I have to use a control array. This is how far I have gotten.

May 31, 2010have a tab delimited text file, which I'm reading into a datatable and showing in a grid.I see that I can't update the text file with any changes made to the data, using an UPDATE command. So how would I go about doing this?I could write out the datatable to a new text file, this is not a problem. But I'm only retrieving X records from the text file, so the datatable won't hold the entire text file.

VS 2008 Saving And Update Text File?
May 14, 2012i am trying to do a text file to save some configurations. Basically when the application starts it will check if the text file is exist, if not it will create a new text file. Now i'm having a problem is when i try to append the newly created/exist text file, sometimes i need to press the 'save' button many times to update the text file.
