I am trying to update my form once the delete button is clicked. There are several fields like Name, Date, Date of Birth and so on. Once I delete a record I want the form to automatically load with new / updated data. This form fetches data from MS Access using OLEDB I have spent a long long time trying this but did not get any solution.

Note my add is working perfectly fine. I just can find the error on my delete and update. Also I have used this to view it to my datagrid I don't know if its the right thing but it's working fine too.

Another thing is how to code each textbox and combobox to bind it to my records so that when I click on the datagridview each column will be distributed on each respective textbox.

I'm trying to get the Update button and my Delete button to work. Please advice me accordingly on what I'm doing wrongly. And as for the delete button, I have little clue of doing it. What I want the Update button to do: Basically I have a datagridview in my form. And the DGV displays all the records I have in my mdb file. The user could edit the records directly at the DGV and when the Update button is clicked, both DGV and database gets updated.

I have a datatable populated from an SQL Server 2008 database table. I created a DataAdapter with a commandbuilder to manage the updating, inserting, and deleting of records. The Updating and Inserting work as expected. However, Delete does not. The code runs through just fine without any errors. The number of records in the datatable after the row is deleted even reflects the deletion. The DataAdapter.Update works fine without any exceptions. But when checking the actual table in the SQL DB the deleted record is still there.Here are the parts of my code that deal with this table.

I'm using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 to create an application (.VB). The application connects to a Microsoft Access 2007 database. When the user starts the application, the application pulls in the data from the database via the "TableAdapter.Fill" method. The user can then add/update/delete records in the form and those changes are saved and confirmed in the database. The problem is when the user close completely out of the application and restarts it, the modifications that were made and originally sent/saved to the database are wiped/deleted. It appears that the dataset in the application never saves the modifications and when the program restarts it uses the data that was originally loaded into it during the design/build phase of the application.
