Using SQL String With Date Between To Retrieve Specific Data?

I do encounter interest problem when I am using VBNet2008 and SQL Server 2000. I am developing Window Application and one of the form I am using SQL String with Date between to retrieve specific data from SQL SERVER 2000 Table and it's not working and generated this error message:
Invalid column name strFromDate
Invalid column name strToDate
Here are the overall coding:

I know this has to be a very simple answer but I seem to be overlooking it. I have an Access database that I have conected to and have created a DataSet. The DataSet consists of one table with several rows and a bunch of columns. What I am trying to do is get the data for one specific row and column so that I can use this data is some calculations. I can position the row if I need to but I can't figure out how to get the data in the specific column I need.

I have used .NET and ShDocVw for years to grab data off webpages without any issues I couldn't overcome. This website has me beat though. It seems like such as easy task to grab the titles and other information off a library search page, but I can't see the data to be able to grab it. Usually, I just look in the DOM, but the data wasn't there. I did a view source, but the data wasn't there.

I'm trying to format a string to represent a date in a specific format using the Format function but it's return odd results.
Here's an example:

Dim result as String = ""
result = Format(s, "dd-mmm-yyyy")
result equals "dd-mmm-yyyy" (the format string) very strange.

I data type is a nullable date that returns a string value if date was supplied.
I want to allow the variable to be set like this

how I can ensure that conversion of a date to a string and a string to a date will give me the same date format.

Would it be possible to search a table, confining to a specific date range based on a date-time column, and get a count of the 10 most used words in a particular var-char column excluding a list of words?All in SQL?Currently I am pulling out the records that match and sorting through the contents outside of SQL, I would think where I can do it directly on the server it would be more efficient.(SQL 2008)

Having a bit of block trying to get comments for a specific post. Working with MVC 3 and VBNET. A post url looks like /Blog/Post/1. I can display the post without problem but need to get the comments for PostId=1 from the Comments table. I tried a Linq inner join statement

I have only recently discovered the world of fetching online data using XML functions in VB.NET and it has been working well so far. Unfortunately I have hit a hurdle and am unsure as to how I should proceed. Until now I have been working with simple XML files where there was only 1 value to retrieve with a specific XML element path. Also, I get the following error when the code reaches the Dim Atmt as Outlook.Attachment part: Public member 'Attachment' on type 'Object' not found. I need this function to retrieve the attachments. I wonder if it is possible to find a specific row and specific columns in data base file (Access) . You see , I am using a DataGridView control to show only SOME of the columns (fields) of a table from an Access file . For example , lets say that in the DataGridView control I only show the following fields :Field1 , Field2 and Field3 .Now , when the user selects an entry in the DataGridView control , I want to insert the text from Field4 into a text box on the form .
The problem , however , is that I don't know how to get the specific row in the data base file and also I don't know how to get the text in column (field) Field4 of that row .One thing that might be important is that the index of the row in the data base file is not necessarily the same with the index of the current row in the DataGridView control . This is because in the DataGridView control the rows are order by the contents in the ID Field .ol .

So there's this accounting package at my client that spits out text-based reports with invalid dates, like February 31st or September 31st.The reports are formatted with spaces and mono-spaced fonts. The data that gets parsed out are fed into a more formal local SSRS report, and that's about all you need to know.
What I am interested in fixing is the situation where a date is invalid and can't be converted into a DateTime struct. The date format from the report is "MMM-dd-yy" (e.g. "Feb-30-10"). The date strings need to be fixed before being shown in the formal report. I've seen this done two ways in my time as a developer, and I want to come up with a cleverer way of doing it (if there isn't a built-in way I don't know about).The first bad method (I can't believe I'm even showing you!):

I am trying to read the pc system information so that I can retrieve the time and date format.

Retruns in debug: "dddd, MMMM dd, yyyy"
So I have 2 questions;
1) Why is there, a dd after the MMMM.
2) My company has small franchise branch offices round the world - France, USA, etc. What I am trying to do is get the date format so I can decide what country I am in - then when I print out the date on my order labels I can change the date format to suit Americans or Europeans etc.
