What I am looking for is using a URL link such as [URL] to open my application and read the params using GET. I do not want to use the click once method to do this, because I want the application to load up without the starting up bar at the topleft. I know it could be done but I could not find anywhere to do it at. You can see an example used over at curse.com where they use a link like [URL] to launch their app and download the item. Another example is with Ventrilo where you can use [URL] links to start vent and connect to a server. The reason I want this is because I plan to use it to give my customers a way to give their clients a way to connect to their servers with my software using a simple URL.
I made a UpdateCommand for my dataadapter in my MySQL connection. [code]Is there a way to link these up parameters to variables or textfields? Cause I want the value from a textbox to be the value of tabText.
Switching from Microsofts Oracle Driver to ODP.NET version 10.2.0.100. After changing the data types to OracleDBTypes in a procedure, that worked perficetly using System.Data.OracleClient, the procedure fails if we try and pass in more that 20 parameters. The error returned is:

If I use Function Contains (q.FirstName & " " & q.LastName).Contains(employeeName), I will not get any result back if employeeName is "John Clark" Function Contains looks only for next words from left to right. I'm using visual basic 2010 express..I'm building my own web browser and want to add a download manager.I have been able to build one that will download a file if I type the file location into a text box.What I'm trying to figure out is how to have the download manager open when I click on a download link on a web page.How to make the download manager know it is a link to a downloadable file as opposed to something like a link to another webpage?

When a button is clicked i am creating HTML that will be displayed in the WebBrowser1 control. With this HTML are several links to other pages. Is it possible that when one of these links is clicked, that WebBrowser2 navigates to the page instead of WebBrowser1?

so I'm using Visual Studio 2010 and I'm trying to make a program where I would have a textbox where the user would type,then a "Go" button. In the textbox, the user would type a number, lets go with 1 for an example. A user would type 1 in the textbox, then it would automatically add the 1 to the end of this .swf link: "http:[url]... after they enter the 1 in the textbox and press the "Go" button, it would add the 1 to the end of that link, then that link would open a new shockwaveflash form with the link being the Movie. Is this possible?
Now as you can see it is sending the textbox1 text and then pressing enter then sending textbox2 text! Theres quite a few problems in that but before i discuss note: This code is in a Timer. Problem #1: It does not send the keys fully correct all the time because its trying to send them all at once! So i want it to send them 1 letter after the other with 200 ms sleep in them! Problem #2: The sleep is not working: The reason i know is because even after it did the first textbox1 text it didnt wait that 2000 ms!

I am trying to send keys to a control on my form. But I am getting a NullReferenceException and I don't know why. The code is about as basic as it gets: [Code] The error reported is object reference not set to an instance of an object but Send is a shared method so doesn't need an instance. Strangely if I ignore the error it works fine and F4 is passed to the control. I know there was an issue with sendkeys and UAC but I thought this had been solved (I am using 4.0 framework).
I have a filter that is used to populate a grid view and the url will conain: /example/grid?value1=1&value2=2
It will then have a link to page 2, which allows them to edit something.I then want them to click a link that will send them back to the gridview under the same parameters of: /example/grid?value1=1&value2=2
Is this possible? How do I hold on and fill in the URL values so it knows how to refill the grid view accordingly?
