Using A Single Picture Box To Display A Single Picture Form A Bank Of Pictures?

I have a few problems i need to solve. Firstly, I am looking for a piece of code i can use to display a picture from a bank of pictures. It will work on the basis of generating a random number and loading a picture that corresponds to that number.
i.e. Dim RandNumber As Integer

Secondly, can I then use subsequent picture boxes to display pictures from the same bank of images, without displaying the same image? Finally, I then need to be able to click the picture or a button beneath the picture to select it as an answer to a question and then the whole process starts again.
i want to add a picture of a field like a football field and on it a ball would roll (just like the football). i have loaded the field's picture in the picturebox , but m nt able to load the second picture i.e of the ball. how can i do this?

i am trying to build a program ( i am a beginner) that display the pictures from a media card ( or other removable media) in a gallery in the form, and that allow the user to select the ones he likes and store it in a folder.
I need to create a vb.net program that consists of a unmovable, always on top bitmap, with no menu bar or anything, and does not show up in the task bar as program. It needs to always start in the same place.
Essentially I need to mask a part of the screen by using a bitmap that blends into the scenery.
I am not sure which properties I need to tweak to achieve all of this.
I need to display a arrow picture over another picture. But i cant able to make arrow picture transparent other than the arrow. Always it is in rectangle format(Picture box). I tried the picture box color to transparent, But that doesn't worked. A separate user control for displaying transparent image will be appreciated.

I have written a function to swap pictures in a picture box. The function itself works but I was finding that eventually i was getting out of memory errors. I am thinking that i need to release the images from memory as i swap them and have tried using Dispose().However Dispose() does not work the way i have tried to implement it.
I would like to build a form that has multiple picture boxes that a user can browse through and click on each one to select multiple items. The pictures will all be pulled from a single directory. I am designing an app and I want to attach some pictures to my VB forms. I have used a picture box and the image is only visible before I debug. Once debugging starts, the image disappears.
How do I display the image when I run the debugger?
I used visual basic 2008, windows form applications. I used panel and its background is the map, and I used picture box as the character and with transparent gif pictures in every keyevents, I already can move the picturebox with keyevents. But the problem is, whenever I move the picturebox,I can see the box of picturebox even it is transparent.
I've been trying to make an image viewer that keeps top most while I do other things (like typing, etc), so I don't have to hop windows, or sacrifice screen real estate.I made a main form, and a configuration form (opened by pressing o), with options to set the main form's opacity (working), the picture displayed (as the form's backgound picture, not working), and if the main form stays top most or not (working).

Still working on a very simplistic poker game and I'm struggling with getting the code to show my cards in picture boxes. I currently have 12 picture boxes set up on my form and when clicking the "deal" button I created on the form, I would like a random number to be generated from 1-53 and based on the number returned I would like a picture of a playing card entered into the picturebox. I would like this to happen in 10 picture boxes. So playing cards will be shown in the picture box on 10 of them and a the card back on the picture box 11 and 12. After hitting a second button, I would like the 11th and 12th boxes to display a card from the deck.
With all that being said my questions are:
1. How do I associate the random numbers with my playing cards? (I have my card pictures in a file on my computer.)
2. How do I get the picture of the cards into the picture boxes? What would the code look like?
3. I have a button to clear all the cards, but how to I program it.
Say I have a code with 3 methods that do some pretty intensive work. Would executing these methods on 3 seperate threads be faster then executing them one after the other on a single core cpu? And what if it's a dual core or HT?
I am trying to make a list, separated by a comma, of entries from a single column in a SQL database. I have been spending the last several days searching for a way to do this, but every thing I found either didn't work, or wasn't exactly what I was looking for.

I use SqlParameters when executing database statements. I know that I can replace a single quote with two single quotes... but in the past SqlParameters took care of this for me. I am trying to update a row or a single cell in ms access through vb.net. But when i update the text box named NRIC, say for example i want to update "s4522147B" to "tr4521856C" and mean while leaving the other fields the same.
But the thing is when i make the changes in nric.text (textbox), the dataset actually updates the whole column in the table instead of the selected textbox.

I am using memorystream to get and store images into sqlserver 2005 table image field. This process is working and I am able to display image in picture box. I need to be able to store PDF files into the same field and be able to display in a picture box.

Is there a simple way to differentiate single display vs. dual display clone? I am asking about dual clone, not extended desktop. .Net Screen class treats dual clone as single display. I could not find useful WMI method also.
I'm creating an application in which i have 5 picture boxes on top of each other that will "layer" pictures on top of each other. The user can show and hide certain layers by checking / unchecking check boxes. I need all the layers to be transparent so the prior layer can show through. Currently all layers are set to transparent back color however, in VB8, controls by default don't support transparent colors. MSDN says you can override this and give controls transparency by the following:

I have problems figuring out how to separate a single person to display on my listbox.
I am currently working on an assignment called "Douglas Resort Reservation" and we are supposed to select a query from the combo box Guest Search. For example, when I select Barb Allen, I get the info to display properly, which is good. But, I still have a problem.
When I try to click my button 'Prepare Invoice', I want Barb Allen's info to be displayed in my listbox 'Invoice'. But, now I don't have that complete. I have a whole list of items generated when I load my whole thing from my Form Load event from the textfile RESORT.TXT. I get a whole list of items instead of individualized items.
My question for you is: "How can I get just ONE name and person's information to show up?" when I press the button 'Prepare Invoice'.[code]...
Is it possible to display different with a single a report viewer such that when I click on the button "Report 1" to should display Report 1 in the Report Viewer.If I click on the button "Report 2" it should display Report 2. Is this possible ? If yes then please provide the code.
